"I did dry Jan Feb and March last year , every time I fancied a pint I played squash , dealt great by Easter"
Christ if I did that I'd be playing squash at the most stupidest times of the day

I don't think I drank any alcohol in January. I drink so little that doing a dry month would be pointless so I don't keep track.
I'll probably not drink during February either but it won't be as a planned thing.
For that matter, now I'm back on low-carb eating, it may be months before I next drink alcohol. |

We did dry Jan this year, and I haven't hung out with my husband jack daniels for quite some time, and with my degree at a critical point, I don't have time for hangovers. I have more money (i was averaging a bottle of jd a week) and on the whole feel a lot happier about things. Gonna try and do dry feb as well but not kill myself if I have a couple on a night out, etc. |

I did dry Jan. Can't say it made a massive difference to me...but then I didn't drink much to start with. I did have a lovely celebratory Hendricks and tonic with my dinner yesterday, so dry feb is not happening for me. |

One step ahead of you....was tacking a dry Feb onto a dry Jan....might go the whole hog and go a dry 2015
Might be difficult through festival season though....we'll see.... |

February is a good month to do it . I might give it a go myself . I don't play squash , well not that kinda squash ! I'm sure I'll find something to play with . It's a good chance to detox . I might try doing a Forever Clean 9 at the same time . |

I don't understand the whole "dry January" carry on. Just drink in moderation
I know people who didn't drink in January but went out and got paralytic this weekend because they didn't drink, almost like celebrating |

"I did dry sept, oct, nov, 29 days in dec and 30 days in jan. No intention of drinking anything this month or next either. Wasted calories when your on a health kick. I would rather have food
i can pop you in the direction of some non-alcoholic wine with only 5 calories per 200 mls..... lol come over to the dark side.... "
I don't really like wine much anyway but thanks _abio. I'll stick to the tea and water |

The girls from my fitness studio did that. The whole studio went dry and got sponsored. Then yesterday they were plastered all over Facebook at the local cocktail bar. I've been laughing at them all month coz they sound like they should be at Alcoholics Anonymous if not drinking for 31 days is that hard.
That being said they raised £1300 for cancer research between them doing it and a sponsored spinathon so it can't be all bad. |

All well and good raising the money but that's the exact mentality I'm talking about. I have a bit of a different view of alcohol, I get enough freebies to keep me permanently pissed, most of it gets given away or goes out of date |

I ain't doing dry-any month lol
although I am ashamed to say that We probably spent the better part of £300 on alcohol last month just by going out on Friday nights (I don't drink a drop during the week)
That's quite depressing when you add it up :-/ |
