If it is a nanny cam for child protection, leave them to it. If it is to perv, advise them to desist.

are they in your own house or someone elses house that use them for other reasons like for safety or are there to catch what was suspected of a thief
or to catch someone up to no good
as goes for calling police it would need to be for certain reasons as spy cams can be used for security and other purposes |

It's something l've thought about too. When visiting other people for carnal activities there would normally be no way of knowing whether surveillance was in place for the filming of said activities.
Hotels are becoming a more attractive option from the point of view of not being recorded in-flagrante', if you've booked a room yourself. |

are you trying to say you know that cameras are there and maybe know why and unsure whether to let the people being watched know - or maybe there for the home owners good to try and catch someone out doing something wrong - id keep out of it

If they told me in advance; no problem. Secret camera is a total invasion of privacy and trust.

I'd be angry if id been filmed without consent. Regardless of me or others, people have a right to do as they wish, within legal boundaries, in their own home.
I'd ask them what they're up to and notify the police if it seemed dodgy. I don't give away my beauty secrets for nothing.
I despair in general at our loss of freedoms and dislike all the cctv around us.
I'd probably not have another meet with them.
Feel free to record any conversation that you have with them about it. |

I don't see how it's a Police matter.
If I walk into somebody else's premises and they are using a covert camera,
that's on me.
If I ask beforehand "Do you have a covert Camera if they answer "yes", that's on me.
If they answer "No" that's on me too.
It's my decision to take that risk.
What they actually DO with what they have filmed, could make it a Police matter.
Just having it in place is not exactly a crime, sneaky fucking bastard yes, but it's not a crime.
