Just been watching the news about companies in Stockholm who are micro chipping staff, the chip allows them access into he building, to open interior doors, unlocking computers, use of photo copiers, use of food and drink machines in the cafe, in fact everything within the firm require the micro chip to access it
Not sure I like the idea and if I went for a job and they offered me the position on accordance I got micro chipped I think I'd turn their offer down
Would you get micro chipped? |

"Wouldn't bother me would save endless time tapping in passwords"
It would but I just don't like the idea, you couldn't even go for a shit without them knowing exactly where you were |

What happens if you leave there, do they remove it or just deactivate it?
While it would remove the problem that I have with losing my work fob all the time, it's a bit too scary for me... |

Not a hope in hell.
I *might* consider a wristband with a chip that was left at work in a locker, put on when I arrive and taken off when I leave. Only, however, if it didn't track my movements. I don't want to be tracked going to the loo either! |

Fuck no!!
No doubt some on here would suggest it as a means of identifying fellow Fabbers in asda/Costa/Aldi etc and tracking their meets to check k they weren't timewasters!
And they can feck off too!

What a brilliant idea - NOT!
They clearly haven't considered that from time to time, some staff leave the company to go work elsewhere.
Would they continue to have access to the building long after they leave?
(Actually, I know that access can be re-programmed, so this is avoidable)
Do the company surgically remove the chip when an employee leaves?
Why not master fingerprint and iris scanners rather than injecting bits of tech into our bodies. |

Think of it from another way, say you collapse in work, you can be found quicker.
Would they remove It when you leave the company though? |

I'd go for it like a wee kitty.
If I wandered off from the direction of home, perhaps d*unk, got lost, took shelter in a shed and another family fed me for a week or so they could check to see who my real family were and return me home. |

I would not get chipped, surely it against human rights to force people to undergo surgery (however minor) to be accepted for a job

I don't even like carry my phone round, because of the info that can be collected.
I know I have got the cat chipped and I know it's double standards but no-ones sticking one in me. I don't want monitoring. |

"A friend of mine works in the McCain's factory and he had to get oven chipped.
I'm gonna steal that bad boy!"
Feel free; personally I'm still shocked about what happened to my other pal - he worked in the smash factory and it wasn't pretty. |

"It would be interesting to read this in 20 years time when we could all have to be micro chipped for various reasons.
We all hated the idea of CCTV at one time and now its just part of our lives" it's part of your life maybe! Not mine.
