Hi, I go out often dressed up as that is me..Infact I own no male clothes at all, so I go out 24/7 dressed up//I often go with my 26 yr old step grandaughter, we swap clothes and have fun whilst out..
She normally comes to mine beforehand, we search clothes, drink wine, give make up advice etc..
Thursday night I am out to meet a couple from here, I met the male last week and he is bringing his wife along and we are meeting in the pub first...
I asked my granddaughter to help me with a dress that I cant get into on my own, I have tried everyway, yes girls, the coathanger too..She was so concerened she went offline...I have messaged to say , please, I need your help, but nothing..She said, why cant the couple you are meeting zip you up? REALLY, Oh hi here I am, BTW can you zip me up and I will get the drinks in!!! How embarrasing..
How would you handle this, what would you do? x |

Blouse or top and skirt could avoid the need to struggle with zips.
Let your relative take a break, for some reason she needs it. It's lovely what you've been doing together and her unresponsiveness may be nothing to do with you.
At a later point check that she's ok. You could also look for other sources of support in future, so that there's not just one person there for you. |

What?
Are you actually suggesting that the members of the forum haven't got you into your dress because you are a TV and it doesn't, therefore, matter?
People have made suggestions. I don't think anyone here has mental powers that can fasten your dress, or a magic wand.
What do you expect us to do? |

It mattered to me, which is why I posted what I hoped was a practical dressing option and also advice on following through with your family member, based on the timeframe, which is short.
You are as important to me as anyone on here who posts that I don't know.
If you're exasperated because you really really wanted to wear that dress, there's little I can do - I don't know your social circle etc.
If you show attitude then you'll alienate others. |

Thank you for your replies..I was upset, mainly because I go out of my way to do things for people I know..I did not want to wear a different dress as I knew this dress fitted and looked great, also that I had bought a coat to match and shoes, scarf etc..I really did not want to wear anything else..As I said, I tried the coathanger or string method..
The young lady I mentioned came around the previous night to borrow clothes for the weekend herself, that is why I was peed off..She did however decide to come and do it for me.
As for my social circle, it is far and wide and hampered by the fact that my ex Gf lives nextdoor and seems to get to know everything xx lol
As I said earlier thanks to all those that took time to reply to me in my hour of upset need however useful their reply was .
