People who dont like this in a message. Do you tell people in the street not to approach with that remark when meeting friends.

It's tricky, I tend to go with "Oi, wench" as my opening greeting, less likely to offend

I've never experienced it but they don't seem to appreciate "Eh Up Tits!" in my experience.

Don't mind a 'hiya' in a message.

The problem comes when that is all the message contains. Throw us a bone and write a little more.......Fab's hasn't started charging by the character as far as I know.

I have often wondered this, don't get me wrong I know the etiquette and tailor an opening message to the profile of who um messaging.

But, what actually is wrong with just saying hi, how are you?/

The internet is not the same as the real world. So the comparison is pretty pointless.

It's dull. It's uninspiring. It shows zero effort. It doesn't really give the recipient a reason to reply

Hull but travel regularly

"People who dont like this in a message. Do you tell people in the street not to approach with that remark when meeting friends. "

Friends can say this or anything else in the street but let's say you get 30 strangers saying it to you every day, thereafter followed by 'how are you' or 'how's your day going' and you soon find you've wasted 3 hours with inane chat and with 99% of those people leads absolutely nowhere. Life's too short. You'd soon bore of it too if you were in the receiving end, day in, day out, however ok you think it is as an opening line

You only get one chance to make a first impression when on a site such as this so your first message simply has to be a bit more inspiring.

As a couple we get a few messages daily, not as many as some women but can you imagine how uninteresting it is to get 10 'hiya, how's you' messages?

We'll respond to the one that says 'hiya, how are you. I am.......insert name, from .......'and then go on to tell us a bit about them and what they seek.

This is spot on and what I always aim to do and include something that shows you have read the profile.

Hiya is fine sometimes, but if there's nothing on a profile, it's not really going to grab your attention.

Mostly in GU24

I get an extraordinary amount of messages starting "when you gonna suck my cock" or "I want my tongue round those nipples".

Not the sort of greeting I really go for and if the grammar and spelling are dodgy they get deleted. Never mind the content of the message, if it's bad it gets deleted. Sorry!

Don't normally bother with hello, I usually just bundle them into a sack and speed off into the night.

Been trying to get the word 'cunt' to catch on as a term of endearment for years too.

Exactly. I've received the occasional message during my time at fab and the majority of them have comprised of less than 3 words.

It would seem that it's not just some members of the male of the species that have trouble composing sentences.

Titz Towers, North Notts

In life I like a friendly 'Ey up me duck'. It doesn't translate into a message, though.

Hi, how are you? is perfectly fine in a message, so long as that's not the entire extent of the message, because then it's a bit boring. I prefer fancy a fuck to that.
