Just to let everyone know how I got on, as a few people knew I was having a crack at a gong show.
There were just over a dozen contestants, with some coming a fair way to do it and a number of past winners present. Although I didn't get through to the final, I had a lovely time having a go at it. I just wish I'd improvised more, as I got better results from that, than from doing the routine.  |

I am going to do it again, as I was getting good laughs, but with a different approach. More improv and stuff made up on the spot.
I last 3 1/2 minutes, which I'm happy with, considering the strength of the field. |

Just a quick update; one of the other peeps there was a bit of a promoter chappy and he's organising a show in a few months time - he's asked if I would fancy going on, as it would be good stage time. I'm rather chuffed  |
