"No
any specific reason why?" .
Yeah it's shit and dusty and boring and 28 day days are stupid.
Everyone knows the first man on the moon the second a little bit and by the third nobody gave a shit, which was a shame because his catch line was much better than Neil's |

It's the quirky fact that one day of the moon is 28 days and one rotation around the earth is 28 days hence the dark side which is always in shadow to us |

"It's the quirky fact that one day of the moon is 28 days and one rotation around the earth is 28 days hence the dark side which is always in shadow to us" the earth orbits the sun every 365 days the moon orbits earth so they will have the same length days. I could be wrong here but that's my understanding of it.

So it's hard to explain but imagine the globe of the earth turning it turns once around and that's a day so the moon is spinning around like we are but it takes 28 days to spin around, so because it's spinning around us and turning around on its axis we never get to see the same bit that's always in our shadow, hence why it got it's name the dark side, although if you were say on the moon it would actually have normal night and day, it just takes 28 days to complete.... Or something along those lines |

No you've got confused with a year once around the track and back is a year. Once around our own axis is a day and when the moon rotates around the earth once that's a month( or an astronomical month) 28 days... Coincidentally before the Gregorian calendar we use to have 13 lunar months a year but because they considered 13 unlucky they swapped it to twelve, well that and the fact they were one day short lol... Did you also know that they added leap years because there's not technically 365 days in a year!! And even by adding leap years you still don't get it right and every 80 or so they have to abandon the leap year!.
Ain't time crazy |

Its a 8 week course, hopefully be able to get my head around it all better when i'm finished. End of week one test i got 22/24 so not to bad i think. |

Only so I can spend the next year wearing the T-shirt and working the moon into every conversation with my friends. Otherwise, no, it's a long way away and there isn't a Waterstones. |
