So watched an Article about a possible Expansion For London In to the Surrounding areas with a possible exspansion to the coast. If this hypotetical exspansion was to tak place it would swallow cities like Oxford, Dartford and Chelmsford.
the last expansion of London was in 60S and Incoperated areas like Stratford and Romford.
Would this be benifitial for London or surroundig areas. |

Money begats money.
Every time the government say there going to distribute out away from London, they follow it by opening something new in London, then they say the housing market is getting to hot and there's no spare housing... The world will always spin around London in Londoners eyes. |

The argument goes that (Londoners) as they call them are moving out of London and in to the surrounding areas. many of the services London enjoys are in the surrounding areas so in effect the surrounding areas of London is already London.
the Vice Major of London stated hat However the reason why so many people are outside of London is that they cannot live in London because it is so expensive and that at the present moment in time. London needs still to develop depth with the greater London area (excluding the city of London)[building higher and using more of the land in other words.]
another thing is that many of people London has expanded into many do not Identify with being form London. I can identify with this somewhat as my Grandad came form Westham but still thought of himself as an Essex boy even though he lived in London all his life. |

If London was to expand out as far as me, i'd want to move somewhere else.
I do not wish to live in London.
My parents are originally from the East end and chose to move out of London when they married. |

Double sided sword really... For those who may benifit there will be those who feel like they been forced further afield.

Having said all that I am London born n bred... And I intend to stay put... Living n working in London is my zone!
Will wait with interest just how these new plans intend to pan out .... |
