Why is it that most on here dont wish to have fun with anyone over 55 ?? Does it mean all people OVER 55 should be shot,as sex obviously has passed them by? And when these "selective" people reach their dreaded 55,does that mean they too wont want to meet other as by then THEY would be incapable of sex also??
We have to say that this ageist thing just shows the shallow mindedness of certain people . Also most of these are ( their words not ours)"Attractive" !!

Sooooo...it's ok for you to have a preference but question that of others.
I'm not everyone's cup of tea, but I am what I am, I like what I like and I'm having an absolute blast on this site and others.
Concentrate on people who are looking for you and bypass those that aren't - all tastes, ages and kinks are catered for. Once you can accept you won't appeal to everyone and that's not a reflection on you or others you'll start to have fun.

we actually are very guilty of this ageist thing. we are 34, and our parents are 54 - 60. we think that if we meet someone 20 years older than us we would feel like you should be talking to our parents and not us and actually feel like im having sex with my father or mother in law and that is wrong!! but swing it round the other way too, if we were to chose someone 20 years younger than us..... well that is seriously wrong too,
therefore we want to stick to people our age ish and just have a good time without the image of my father in law popping in my mind! no thank you!! |

well... they did have a age range in... but when people pointed that out they removed it.....
what I would normally have said was that some people don't want to play with people old enough to be mum or dad, and some people don't want to play with people young enough to be son or daughter....
fairly understandable.... there preference... but the "NO SINGLE MEN EVER" comment took my eye... so wondered if one persons preference took precedence over another? |

As one of the 55 and getting older brigade I don't think people are being ageist. It's a shame that people judge me for my age and not who/what I am but that is thier choice.
I feel no different when I see a profile where I am over thier age criteria to when I see a profile that eliminates me because I am a smoker or not black or not VVWE etc it is just personal preference.
The only downside I see to it is when we get mails from people whose age criteria we don't match, which happens a number of times a day, these people we think are timewasters, the first today are looking for people 18-35 but mailed us, total waste of our time reading thier profile and answering them to point out that I am too old for them. |

Goodness me, that's a high horse you're on there!
I can't speak for anyone else but I don't want to play with anyone in their 50's purely for the fact that and my mom is 51! That's too icky for me to even comprehend!
It may be that we'll meet someone one day whose over that age and we click with and the age doesn't matter, but for now that's not the case.
Everyone has a CHOICE on here and too many people forget that. If you think that's wrong, whatever, but choice is what it is.

I don’t think to much about age, i go on how I feel when am with a person, some times an older person can be good company, and a younger person can be boring, it all about personality for me ,I know a few older ladies that are very fit and have a very healthy outlook on life . I don’t think its age more attitude. |

We respect peoples preferences and check profiles before contacting them. We have a lower age limit of 40 for singles and thats only to lessen the amount of emails we get. We always try reply to everyone and would spend hours typing. So we are quite specific about what we want. xx |

This topic seemed to have stirred a few into life lol All we asked was why people would think that at 55 ish that suddenly we are no good at the art of sex anymore !! It has NOTHING to do with why we as a couple will NOT play with single males as we only play with couples ! Some people like a single male with them and thats fine ! No-one is shallow here, everyone has a right to a preference. Some like and live with people who are either much younger or much older than themselves. Some of us prefer our own age group, indeed i have my age set at 55 but i chatted to a 59 yr old not long after being here and he is now 60 and a fantastic time is had by us both. However that doesnt mean to say all people that age are that good, equally to the younger age too. Its my preference not to choose anyone i am old enough to be the parent of, does that mean i am shallow? No its about preference, likes and dislikes, so no no-one is saying 55 yr olds are crap in bed, and there are some are on that have been with your age group and had a fantastic time. |

age is just one preference (which you had when you had 30-60 as yours which you delightfully got rid of when it was pointed out to you.........) like you thought that we would forget just because you changed it....
in fact to be honest I'd respect you much more if you put it back in because at least that way you are telling the truth in what you were after......

"well... they did have a age range in... but when people pointed that out they removed it.....
what I would normally have said was that some people don't want to play with people old enough to be mum or dad, and some people don't want to play with people young enough to be son or daughter....
fairly understandable.... there preference... but the "NO SINGLE MEN EVER" comment took my eye... so wondered if one persons preference took precedence over another?"
this is the very reason I have an age range in place (as a guide)
Parents in their mid 50's - 60's and a daughter thats 21
I don't feel comfortable playing with people that are simialr ages to my parents or daughter - and if i'm not comfortable about something why would I play? Why would any one?
