Breath in and out of a bag until your breathing rate changes due to the lowering oxygen content, a couple of mins usually, and they will be gone.

Simples.

I'm not entirely sure to be honest. We read it in a book years ago and tried it and sure enough it worked. Differing opinions on why but some say it stimulates the vagus nerve thus interrupting the spasm. Not a guarantee it will work but worth a try.
