Why would it be a cold night on the streets? Don't you have a door key?

Im the same as you (married). have been stood up before. Last year in the hot summer, luckily was daytime so I just got a drink and went to the shops. Had a couple of early evenings though, again I just stayed in the bar on my own, yes sad I know, but had to be done as I couldnt go home too early. Are you able to stay out alone? Im sure he wont stand you up though

Why don't you think the person will turn up?

Well I guess you have to turn up if you have agreed...as if you don't and they do they will feel like you think you might feel later if you do and they don't!

i am only fairly sure that makes sense!

I hope they [and you] do though and you have a great time

good luck

I would message him and say I'm not confident you're going to show so I'm cancelling, sorry. I don't know why you feel he won't but go with your instincts and let him know

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Nip out and buy a magazine, then you'll have something to read. Or if you want to go home, just tell the hubs you got to the pub or whatever and it was cancelled.

Have you tried ringing your date?

Think the OP is suggesting if she's going out, she then has to be out some time because of whatever cover story.

OP, can you get in touch with them to ask them to confirm if they're definitely coming? Hate to say, my gut feeling has always been right

Ive been in that situation a few times. The first time i went against my insticts ...wish id stayed at home as he didnt turn up. Now if ive nit exchanged message or spoke on the day of the meet i dont go.

You can if she had to cancel due to something. If you're going to choose to cheat then you should at least have a lot of good stories to use.

I did think that afterwards I was looking at it from a single person perspective. Also I agree with Anna if your gut feeling is telling you something it's usually right

I see your problem...yes, best try to find out for sure whether they are going to turn up... I presume you have sorted the story with your friend? Imagine if they were to ring asking for you when you are supposed to be there...

Hope it all works out

I have to agree. If it was a guy posting the same he would probably have been hung, drawn and quartered by now, the dirty cheating dog....

Sadly yes...but if it were a man not posting asking for comment on their marital situation they shouldn't be castigated for it either

Trust your gut instinct, but let him know.

The forums treat cheating women so differently to how it treats cheating men doesn't it.

Each to their own...There are all types of people in all types of situations on the site. It's hard to judge anyone without loads of facts we don't [and probably shouldn't] know.

But it is surely cold out there tonight so wrap up if you think you are going to have to brave the weather

No one is judging you for your actions that's the thing..you are getting off lightly compared to a married man who may post the same thread...

Just choose a bit better next time, I see loads of women all moaning they get stood up .

Just remember if it seems too good to be true it probably is.

And most guys that ca do the online dating thing really well are not good in real life.

I'm certainly not judging you, I'm one of the single males who can't accommodate who most of the wise and wonderful forum folk assume is married or in a relationship.

As stated by others, all I was pointing out was if a male had started this thread saying the exact same thing as you, it wouldn't be helpful advice he'd be receiving.
