My sister has been plannign a surprise for my nephew for weeks now, its been so hard not to spill the beans!!
Tonight, after work, they went over to a local village and spoke to a lady who wants someone to help exercise her pony!!! Everything went well and we are off there again on Sunday so that they can see how well he rides etc before committing to it.
I am so excited for my nephew but there is also a small 10 year old Evie inside me that is so excited to have a part of her own pony!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (i have already been told i will be called on to help out lol) |

Horses brings out the best in people, I love spending time around these gracious creatures, I love seeing the pride in my daughters face when her and her pony has achieved something new! Bet your nephew is loving it |

i think he is a bit dumbstruck at the moment as he has been asking for a pony for so long he never thought it would happen!
They are very lucky as its a free loan essentially. they are not far from a local wood where we go often so can ride out there. |

Awesome! My daughter is 10 also and is a horse fanatic. She has her own pony for ten months now and it's the best thing I've ever done. She's brilliant with her and it's really helped her having some responsibilities.

well we spent a good hour this afternoon grooming and getting to know her. Sadly the new girth hasnt arrived (she has put on a bit of weight as she hasnt been working) so he couldnt ride her but hopefully that will come sometime next week.
It was lovely showing him what to do, how to pick the hooves up etc. heres to a long and happy relationship. |
