"Just noticed you can select to remove pictures from messages shortly after they've been read, now that's a good idea
How?"
It comes up as an option under your message once you click "attach photos" |

Go to the sent message and there's the option available above the image thumbnails |

You select attach pics and then above the thumbnails there's a sneaky little box, you check that and done |

Yes I've noticed when the op opens a forum if they reply in the same thread there's an "op" appears next to their name.

Nice feature. An addition could be for a reply to re-request them and your message with a removal flag icon to draw attention if you'd like. There are many who would just like to retain their control, as I would, over their pics though, as this gives us. Nice. |

All well and good but often only one of us is online and sees a pic, means it could be removed before we've both seen it.
Could be a bit annoying having to re-request all the time so the other one gets a chance to see it too. |

If the use of this new feature takes off it will change how we use the site.
When we receive a message with pics, and we're attracted to the profile and pics, we save the message in our saved messages folder for reference when planning future meets. If the sender opted to auto-delete the pics they attached, then they may well have ruled themselves out of being contacted by us in the future.
Not knocking the new feature, as more control over one's pics is generally a good thing, but it will be interesting to see how it pans out. |

Yeah there are always downsides to some things, but to know that you can just delete the pics gives you More control of where your pics could end up,
Especially face pic Friday if you partake in that like we and others do it's nice to know the pic is deleted |

Only takes a second to do a quick screen cap on a phone, nothing's safe unfortunately. |

One could use the private notes feature and just add a note to say you've seen the pics, like them and would meet. |

"I would like the option of showing my veris privately so I don't have to display them publicly
that would be good - "
Be good to show potential meets without having to show the whole site |
