Yes it is pretty harrowing for the whole family, the poor little mite has a tracheotomy and a feed tube, she's such a happy baby and always smiles even when she's not feeling 100% the care team are looking at a care plan to hopefully get her home. Fingers crossed |

Don't forget your child can have both ibuprofen and paracetamol - calpol make both in child doses.
A hot water bottle can really help ease the pain of earache. Wrap it in a towel and get your child to lie on it on the bad ear.
I suffered really badly as a child with ear problems and a hot water bottle was the best thing. |

Children's ibuprofen is the best thing they brought out.to take alongside calpol/paracetamol. When I worked in a children's nursery the calpol would help but as soon as they had the ibuprofen too it eased the pressure so much more.
Hope your little one gets better soon xx |

How about U stop making a thread and concentrate on the child.
What is up with some pple.
Every little aspect of your lives has to be made into a thread.
Take the poor thing for some medical help, could be a bad infection

well funny you mention that.. yes i did take her to the Dr (kicking screaming, crying, thrashing around, stripping off due to her being hot) to be then told 'well her ear is pink but its just one of those mum things you deal with at home'
he then called me an over the top mum..
never in my life have i wanted to punch a man before ..
Still had a 2nd opinion today and she is now on anti biotics. |

she didn't say she had been to the doctor, she just said that her granddad said best thing is to sleep it off or something. I just thought that it would be getting better if she was on anti biotics. |

Wtf. Give the girl a break. It's obvious she's a very caring mum and allowed some free time when her little one's asleep.
Hope you're little one feels better soon. Xxx |

Hope she's better soon sassy, earaches a bitch, I suffered as a child ended up having a small, operation. Apparently when I had a bit of a cold, fluid used to get trapped in one of the small tubes?? Just a thought if it's something, she suffers from, frequently? Hopefully soon the antibiotics will kick in! X |
