Depends on the situation. Don't want a guy in bed to scream "you're so fucking clever!" in the heat of the moment, but I'd probably be more accepting of "intelligent" than "attractive". |

A lot of the richest/most successful people in the world aren't very attractive. Bill Gates, for example, didn't ooze sex appeal when he started out. |

Yeah of course, success and power are incredibly attractive characteristics. Plus he's very altruistic as a result. There's very little to dislike about him  |

I think there may be a logical right answer to this ?
Based upon the op they are not asking which attributes you would like to posses but the one you would like to be told ?
Thus I would like to be told I'm attractive, being told this has no bearing upon what a person may think of my personality although only a comment upon my intelligence could indeed be a reflection upon my percieved attractiveness  |

I'm more likely to be called large arse than smart arse, would probably never be called attractive as I'm okay but most people are complimentary about my sense of humour or good hair. Sure sign I'm not attractive in the conventional sense |

As far as the OPs question....it depends.
If I was walking down a street and a passerby said I was attractive then I would be very chuffed.
If soneone I was talking to said I was intelligent, then that would have a similar effect.
I am ok looking and quite bright, so either would be a stretch of the truth I would be wiling to receive graciously  |
