"What's your choice?"
A mix of both is better. But id rather get on with someone and find an attraction that way rather than be physically attracted but find them boring miserable up there own arse. |

Yep, I am with you on that one! Looks are good but if they are just going to sit or stand looking pretty and not engage in some banter or flirting, you may as well get a mannequin!
Anyone for a game of statues?

Looks are what attracts us initially.
However if a person is "attractive" but vacuous with zero personality, then it's not going to happen. A "plain" person who can engage my mind and make me laugh stands more of a chance! |

Agree with all of the above, looks and sense of humour is what attracts me the most. Theres nothing more disappointing than a good looking well presented guy with zero personality or conversation!

Personality which consists of wit, intelligence, banter, warmth, an attitude of not taking oneself too seriously and a sense of fun - anything else is a non-essential bonus |

I would love to say personality..... but I think you have to look at someone and they have to have something about them that attracts you... and that will always point to looks.....
looks get ya foot in the door.... personality gets you in....
Shame... because I do think I am a personality person 1st...... |

Did not mean to say that Loooks did not matter, just that if I had to choose a priority it would be personality.
As for looks, it is not a particular "type" I ... we would be chasing, more that bit of "chemistry" which is not about a particular height, size, hair colour etc...
Anybody can be sexy with a bit of effort and interest in the scene I think |

Hi everyone interesting debate, I would have to say that a connect both physically and mentally is essential for all of us, perhaps on varying levels but essential none the less. At the risk of sounding shallow a physical attraction is nescesary for me BUT there must also be some kind of mental connection. I hope that makes sense. xxxx |

Absolutely.
It's great to be all PC and say personality but on a site like this, that photo counts for a lot as well. |

Looks obviously come into it but play a small part, personality is what keeps me intersted and wanting more. Couldnt shag someone i didnt get on with, need someone with spirit otherwise it would be like shagging a good looking corpse |

Let's face it,in truth we're all initially attracted by looks or there would be no need for photo's.
Yes, personality is probably what clinches the deal but looks are the first and foremost for most of us.
We're always suspicious of profiles that say "Looks Unimportant",can't really believe they mean it.

its a bit difficult to judge on pics in many cases when all you get is feet, legs, cock, backsides.
in some cases the profile displays the personality, 'will fill in later' doesnt do it for me |

This could sound arrogant but it's meant purely logically.
I'm OK looking and quite self aware so probably go for people of the same level. In the past I have met with girls that were maybe not quite at my level but that I've had a connection with and a good laugh with which has made them become amazingly attractive.
Oh, and I like boobies. |

I fell in love with a guy that i met on the net after a few weeks, completely head over heels in love with his personality. It was an amazing feeling but when i actually saw a picture of him there was no physical attraction at all. I spent 4 years with this guy as i cared so much about him i just couldnt tell him that i didnt find him attractive.
I learnt a valuable lesson and now if someone isnt for me then i will usually tell them before i make a complete arse of myself once again!

Which is why I would imagine so often people with these types of photos *only* get derided in the forums, especially when they ask for help.
Which is totally justified I think, |

these same people are also the ones asking for face shots and the like, without returning the favour, allowing the other person to judge them. |

It has to be looks every time, i don't care if they are kind to animals, or if they help old ladies across the road or even if they are mummys blue eyed boy/girl. |
