"some people only meet you on here if u have good ones"
Who would show a bad veri? For us verifications just show that you're still 'active' in the lifestyle as many profiles have the last veri several years ago. |

But they could have met recently, verified the person and not received one in return. Although the veri system is good, I tend to not read much into it preferring to make my own mind up about a person rather than going by what a complete stranger who has probably only met them once has said about them. |

The verification systen is pointless, for this reason. We go to clubs and parties but our last veri on here was over 6 months ago. I find it very odd that people on Fab think this site is the only place to meet people. |

I think it's reasonable for people not to want to advertise whom they have met. Verifications are a voluntary thing so I wouldn't class anyone not wanting to leave one, for whatever reason, as "a problem".
Perhaps they thought the meet was bad for some reason and were using that as an excuse so as not to hurt your feelings.
And yes, I've had meets not verify me, even though they've displayed the veri I left them.
Ultimately veris aren't really important enough to worry about. |

What? There's a world outside of Fab? Who knew?! Where do I find this mythical place? |

I don't think verifications are there to prove how active you are as there are lots of meets that happen without verifications. I think it's a tool to help identify genuine people (note I said help, not guarantee!) and that they turn up etc. |

This.
Exactly how we use it. The lineage of a profile and their veris & veris veris can be a good indicator as to how genuine a profile is, the more solid it appears the better we feel about it. Absolutely NOT fool proof as we've experienced but we believe our no show, fake profile convos would have been greater had we not viewed veris the way we do. |

in the past I have men who don't like their friends to know they have met me, especialy their friends on the forums.
I don't mention verifications if they leave me one then I leave them one.
as long as I have a few verifications that's good enough. |

This is how we see them. The content or amount of veris is unimportant, it shows us you are a genuine person who meets when you say you will. |

i've had meets and not gotten them... few of which have gone on to be repeat meets so it wasn't like the meet was shit either....I don't really display mine anyhow so bar upping the numbers in my veri summary it makes sod all difference if I get them or not.
It's good to have a couple I suppose as its a reasonable (but not foolproof) indicator that you are who you say but beyond that, I don't put too much stock in them.

Ive had a few meets where I have not been verified, I don't ask why, I only verify people if they verify me, because it seems rude if they have taken the time to verify me not to give them one back but if they don't I never ask for one or ask why |
