"There are a few ladies on here who have had work done (and splendid they look, too) but I think there are specialist cosmetic surgery forums that may be more useful. "

Your surgeon would be the best person to advise, surely?
As I understand it, the decision on whether under or over is best depends on factors such as your build. I've not had a boob job though, so my understanding is limited.
If your surgeon hasn't talked you through the various options and the pros and cons of each, I'd be concerned and probably thinking about finding a different surgeon. |

To be perfectly honest putting yourself through surgery for purely cosmetic reasons is foolish and vain in my opinion.
Look at the thousands of women worrying now that its been found the silicone can leak and industrial silicone was used. ![](/icons/s/2/eh.gif) |

You should of been told wether under or over the muscle would be best by the surgeon when they did your consult they would measure your ribcage, see how much tissue you already have and how your skin will stretch over and advise you accordingly. It's advisable to have a couple of consults with different surgeons/companies to get different opinions. Then have a good think about what you want to do.
Any surgeon that hasn't recommended which to have i would be running a mile from! |
