Do you believe in it? I like to think its true in some ways, not in a religious sense but more a spiritual way or some sort of pass over of energy...

Would you want to be an animal or a human?

I believed in reincarnation in my previous life, however this time I've yet to be convinced.

Squeak squeak!

Matter and energy cannot be destroyed, just converted one to the other. What is percieved as 'yourself' is just a series of millions of chemically generated electrical impulses in your brain. Therefore, when you die, what you are made of just diperses and becomes a part of the rest of the universe. It may well become part of another living thing, but in terms of re-incarnation, 'we' cease to exist. It just shows how insignificant we are, but no less wonderful because of that.

The beauty of these things is no one knows... Leaving us to believe in anything.

I once read in a book, the light at the end of the tunnel is a new baby being born into this world. Everytime a person is brought back from passing away that baby being born is 'still born' ... Sad but kind of made sense to a reincarnation... Ftw mick mars!

Yeah i have heard things like that too, i like to think that death isnt the end at least on some level, guess we'll all find out one day lol. (hopefully not too soon).

We might be able to pass on memories via our DNA (and evidence looks good so far that it's possible), not sure if that would back up reincarnation or change the meaning of the word?

So where's all the new souls coming from then! ...I mean 2 thousand years ago there was only 50 million, hundred years ago there was only a billion, now were 7 billion!.

If yellow stone park goes up and were reduced back down to 50 million.... Where do the 6.95 billion go to?.

The trouble with believable perceptions is they open up unbelievable avenues... There a bit like lies, once you've spun one you need to keep spinning to uphold the original one

I believe in it although I don't believe in god. Think my upbringing had something to do with that. Hindus believe you are reincarnated 7 times before you become a higher being. I want it to be true. It feels right to believe it. Although if it turned out it wasn't true I doubt id be shocked.

Epigenetics is a very interesting, ones life experiences may alter your DNA... I'm not so sure about memories though!

No much like religion it's a load of crap designed to distract us from facing our own mortality.

The new ones come from the same place the old ones did. That is the most obvious answer.

.

Recent study found interesting things like Dutch survivors of famine had altered their dna to produce famine resistant children.

I've long suspected that Chernobyl spawned the massive rise in autism. Lots of hype over radioactive materials usually gets the mind thinking of Godzilla but in fact the toxicity of radioactive heavy elements does have the ability to twist dna.

I think we're only just opening the whole dna medical avenue and alot of medical practises will change dramatically in 50 years.

Yeah. It's how come we have instincts i reckon. Plus we can store books in DNA somehow, i don't actually understand the synthesisation process involved though.

I'm a bit skeptical that emotions can be passed on via DNA (fear that was in the news a while back) because we don't seem to have any emotions when born, but like you said epigentics and they can be turned on at any time. If we discover the exact genes we would know for sure.

Is there a soul storage unit somewhere. What happens in 5 billion years when the sun swallows earth.

"What happens in 5 billion years when the sun swallows earth."

We become the sun, the giver of life, we all become jiggling atoms that combine to create more gases to fuel us and make us bigger and more powerful.

Then we create another galaxy by dragging floating rocks towards us, we send our warmth and light to it, we encourage it to thrive. Then when the time comes we send out souls back down here to experience everything our galaxy has to offer, so that we can gain more emapthy and create the ultimate god: love.

Or the sun just burns out instead?

.Technically it won't burn out, just turn into a red giant and consume us, of course by then the milky way will have merged with Andromeda.

All of which effects my life not one jot.

A bit like reincarnation or God.

Eloquently put

I'd like to come back as a tiger or panther prowling through the jungle....or bird of prey soaring in the sky.

It's a nice daydream if nothing else.

I think the best thing is just to live a decent life without constraints, except for the ones you wish to put on yourself through freedom of choice.

I liked the philosophy of native Americans... Try not to fuck things up too much while your living and remember were all in it together(but for real, not like daves version)

Hate to think what has been passed down through Camerons DNA tbh.

I'm happy to live and let live.
