A question for trainers re; exercise

Something strange is happen ending to me and I'd love to understand it.
I'm two weeks back into gym work and I keep wanting to just curl up and sleep there on the floor! Again today I was doing an abs workout on the floor in the noisy, bright and busy gym and had to force myself to stay awake the second I stopped moving. Even the thought of it is blissful and I kept yawning too. I'm not overdoing it, I've had enough sleep and my diet is perfect.
What's happening, is it relevant and can I ignore it? |

I get this occasionally. Usually when I train straight after a night shift. Something to do with the body having a lack of natural sugars.
Maybe try a sleep app on your phone, see if you really are sleeping as well as you think. This is my biggest problem after a night shift. I sleep for 7-8 hours, but the quality of sleep is poor.
Don't drink an energy drink though. |

"Maybe you're not sleeping as well as you think?
Maybe your diet isn't perfect?
Maybe ask a doctor?"
Good advice
How do you know your diet is perfect? I'm not saying you don't just asking how you know
Could be iron deficiency, could be diabetes could be could be could be
We have no where near enough data , what's your water consumption
And careful with energy drinks or sugar drinks as they spike which can lead to a low
Very complex

I was B12 deficient but ongoing treatment of injections is dealing with that.
I also have T2 but my control is perfection with an HbA1c of 4.6 better than most non-diabetics. I eat a paleo diet with dairy and supplement on D3, krill oil, magnesium, oral B12 and powdered greens. I am a shift worker but I really do sleep well and get enough fluid too. I don't drink or smoke. I would never dream of drinking the shit that are 'energy drinks' when ice cold water will do nicely thank you and I stick to Hymalayan salt and lots of saturated fats. I'm fitter and healthier than I was in my thirties and I was super, army fit as a young woman.
When I say I want to sleep, it's that lovely curl up with a smile on my face sleep, not exhaustion, It's a contentment.
Im not worried about it and if I were go to my GP he wouldn't have a clue, I was just interested if anyone had any insight to it. |

May I hijack?
Could you exercise bods give me some advice? I've recently upped my exercise regime, I'm now walking lots (including up a very big steep hill twice a week) as well as swimming for 45 mins twice a week.
I'm feeling the effects of all the walking and getting quite stiff. Should I rest the day after or push myself to do more?
I've lost a fair bit of weight through mainly diet but this is my last push before I get assessed for major surgery. |

You should listen to your body. If you feel like doing more, then do more. If you don't want to do more, then don't.
I know it sounds too simple, but the key is always to listen to your own body. You won't hurt yourself by walking more - walking is hardly a high intensity activity (unless you have related medial conditions - in which case you should ask your doctor).
You might find that some gentle exercise eases the stiffness. |

Empathy is always welcome
As for the orgasm thing, I've never heard of it but now I've thought about it, it's that sleep I get after an orgasm so you could very well be onto something. |
