I went to see it. It is over the top and wonderful.
I only knew the songs before as I had never seen it on stage. I was really struggling not to sing along in the cinema.
Even if you don't like musical theatre just see Johnny Depp as the Wolf and the two princes singing their duet for some of the campest film you will ever see.
I do enjoy a bit of Sondheim.

Shame, I like most of the actors."
I think it's always tricky translating mad stage musicals to film but I thought they made it so camp that it worked. I do think they could lop 20 minutes from it though. |

Can't wait to see it! When I did my English degree we were doing a module on fairy tales & my American professor (who loved musicals) showed us a video of a stage production of it, it was amazing despite the amateur recording so should be fantastic in the cinema! |
