Al Murray v Farage

Titz Towers, North Notts

I've just read with great interest that Al Murray is to stand against Farage in the election. I've never been that convinced by the pub landlord character, but will enjoy this.

Here is the announcement:

In a video posted online he said: "Let it be known that like many of the parliamentary hopefuls in the forthcoming election, I have no idea where South Thanet is.

"But did that stop Margaret Thatcher from saving the Falkland Islands? No."

Mr Murray, 46, is standing in a constituency which the Conservative Party won from Labour at the previous election in 2010.

The serving Conservative MP is Laura Sandys.

A website Mr Murray has set up for his campaign, carries the slogan: "Other parties offer the moon on a stick. We'll do better than that: a British moon on a British stick."

Which of the two would you vote for?

Al is Oxbridge educated and a lot brighter than his pub landlord persona. Love that he is standing, am hoping he raises the issues we all want UKIP to address.

Being passionate about politics is one thing. But yours is the hatred that leads to events such as we saw in Paris. You seriously need to step back a bit and look at why you are so vitriolic, because it has no place in a civilised debate.

Isn't one of the issues with the current lot, certainly the "leaders" that they are all Oxbridge educated, all PPP graduates?

The other thing they have in common is none of them give a flying fuck about you, i, or the average person?

Politics economics and philosophy.

You know I read somewhere that to put your child through eton and Oxford costs around half a million.

Why on earth would you be happy with them getting a job paying 60 grand after that outlay... Unless they were just going to steal it all back plus interest for you!

" But yours is the hatred that leads to events such as we saw in Paris."

Possibly the most ridiculous thing I've heard since lunchtime

" You seriously need to step back a bit and look at why you are so vitriolic "

It's not vitriol, Farage is a lying snide two faced cunt who plays to the gallery one a platform of fear ignorance and downright nastiness

"because it has no place in a civilised debate."

Ukip and civilized debate are oxymoronic

Yea, erm, that's called being a politician, those are the exact qualities each party looks for when recruiting new members.

That would be funny. Would be great to see him in the houses of parliament. Can you imagine how Harriet Harperson would react to the offer of a fruit based drink!
