Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I had a friend fall asleep on a train heading north. He woke up in a station that he thought was in Scotland (he was in the Midlands), grabbed his stuff and crossed to the other platform to take the train back down away from Scotland.
I always remember that early Big Brother with Jade Goody thinking East Anglia was abroad.

It's not bad as far as Wales is concerned, but I quite often have to google places further afield.
The funniest mistake on Fab was a chap from Scotland messaging me thinking Aberaeron was just down the road from him |

My UK geography is good. My world geography is dire !
However Paul is just bloody smart with everything and his knowledge about geography is great - too clever to be with me anyway, I often feel like a dumb blonde in his company! |

A barmaid we were chatting to in Manchester thought York was in the South West ! We pointed out that there was a clue somewhere in the name Yorkshire!
We forgave her though - cos she was utterly delicious  |

I have had 4 messages in the past week from people telling me they live 15 minutes away, but they're in the midlands.
I know I live there but surely people assume "upon Tyne" rather than "under Lyme" when they hear Newcastle...? |
