Welcome to the forums.
Some people will take joy in making you feel thick because of your spelling and grammar but don't let it worry you. They are as easy to ignore as a spelling error. |

Doesn't bother me personally.
People who have a thing about grammar will offer you lessons and help you out rather than slag you off, i'm sure. If they don't then ignore them. |

There are those that like to make a big thing of it if you spell a word wrong or say something that is grammatically incorrect, it's best to ignore them. Enjoy posting |

I sympathise with this a great deal , although I am relatively articulate and can read absolutely fine, I am dyslexic and find it very hard to sometimes express things in writing, if you are passionate about something and want to have a voice about a certain topic especially in forums, it can be extremely hard and degrading when a person will spend more time personally attacking you about your gramma then they do about your point or opinion . |

Don't let the grammar or spelling police get at you, as long as it's understandable it's all good. Just re check before posting and it'll be fine I'm sure. |

OP- As far as I'm concerned I'd rather read an interesting post with an occasional spelling mistake by someone with so in mething original to say than a perfectly spelt and punctuated post from somebody who offers nothing fresh - so just go for it and join |

Never worry about what other people think of you on here, they are at the end of the internet connection. Do your thing with people who will do their thing with you.
Post and if people snipe at your spelling, just smile at their need to do so...
all the best |

That says an awful lot about that person then hun. Some people like to pick on others to try and mask their own insecurities. Ignore them |

I fully admit to being a spelling snob. With touchscreen phones and autocorrect we all make daft typos, which we have to expect.
But if I see profile text (or worse; usernames) with careless spelling errors, it just makes me think twice about contacting them.
I am turned on more than anything by a sexy, funny and imaginative person - and that usually goes hand-in-hand with intelligence and the ability to articulate those sexy thoughts. |

Lack of punctuation can make a post really difficult to read and understand. If you compose a long post, read it out aloud. Where you pause, pop in a comma. Where you stop, put in a full stop. This is the simplest piece of constructive advice I can give. Hope it helps.
With spelling errors, most people can work it out. |

"we have a few spelling mistakes in our profile love it when people contact us to tell us [idiots]"
Spelling is the least of my issues with your profile, I gave up after 3 lines.
Did you pause for breath at all when you typed that?
Here have some of these little chaps on me ........... |

Words like bin instead of been is not bad spelling that's just swapping a word, I'm sure you don't really think been is spelt bin and that was deliberately done? |

...I really don't want to be overly critical because you are simply asking other people's opinion here; but did you know that tattoo has two 'o's? And that's just your username.
As the saying goes; you only get one chance to make a first impression.
Most phones and web browsers will spellcheck as you type, so when you next update your profile or write a post, spend a minute looking to see if any words are highlighted as spelling errors. |

My spelling is abysmal , and I've been ridiculed for it most of my life
That said it can sometimes be indicative of a less considered approach to verbalising your thoughts
Let a good choice of words reflect you , rather than the spelling mistakes
If your spelling is poor , then refrain from text speak , concentrate on your common errors that may make you look lazy xx |
