I don't get it?

Hereabouts

Why do people send messages saying 'take a look at my profile and let me know if you're interested', when they clearly haven't read mine? And more often than not there's barely any writing and one or two pics but no face pic. It just baffles me. I'm not whinging, I'm just asking... Why? Am I missing something?

At a guess it's just someone taking the blanket bomb route and sending cut&paste messages to anyone close enough in the hope that one person will answer.

Said it before this website is all about self promotion... How do I stand out from the crowd should be asked by everyone all the time... Those who do stand out I expect have a good choice of potential meets those that don't...

Yep. Which leads on to just because they want a response it doesn't mean I have to respond

There are plenty of threads about the rude, arrogant people that don't reply though.

They're two sides if the same coin and neither side is happy. It is a bit bizarre.

It's just one of those features of fab.
