Have we any members who are Musicians, whether proficient, professional or just budding?
I'll start, by revealing that I've been playing bass for a year now, and find it a really good way to unwind, as it's completely different to anything else I've done during the day |

I passed my Grade 8 in piano when I was 14, however, I don't play it anymore.
I used to sing in choirs and played the organ too.
I self-taught myself the clarinet recently, however, again due to life changing event, that is stopped. |

Used to play electric guitar, either lead or rhythm. Had an accident on a F***ing motorcycle and just can't get my fingers round the frets to form anything meaninful!
Fingers used to be flatops and I could stick pins in em! All soft and rounded now.. |

Played piano when I was younger got to grade 6 I think it was. In those days you couldn't go higher until you were 16.
I was also the young people's pianist for the church and accompanied the choir. There were various male groups in the church and I accompanied one of them. We had a piano at home and every Thursday evening they'd come to mine to practice. About one Saturday a month we'd sing at a different church in and around London.
I was 14! Can't see many parents sending their teenage daughter off with 8 men now can you!
Sang with my sister, youngest sister wanted to join we said no.
Today I'd struggle to name violin strings. Might just manage a few bars of Moonlight Sonata much to my daughter's chagrin, as she'd love me to accompany her cello playing! |
