that its being reported they met another person and stated they 'don't harm civilians' and let them go after shaking hands is bizarre given what they did in Paris..
or it may say a lot about how they see themselves as 'soldiers' and the victims on Wed were 'justified' in their war..

Sounds horrible but unlikely this will end well. Would expect at least 3 more casualties at best. Doubt they will just walk out and say 'surrender'. Has me glued to SKY in a terribly morbid way. Playing out like a tv thriller. |

Another police officer was shot though thy don't know if it's connected but it was close to the petrol station that they held up with machine guns stealing fuel and good.

As this has already spiralled in Paris with further hostages taken/killings in the kosher supermarket - i'm just really hoping that extremists in other world capitals, particularly London, don't take the opportunity commit co-ordinated 'copycat' attrocities to perpetuate global fear. I feel so sorry for the citizens of Paris. They must be so worried and frightened! Xx |

I'll never forget the news reports of revenge attacks after the horrific lee rigby murder, news was saying reports of mosques being set on fire in various parts of England, Muslims being attacked in the street then it said about Wales and that someone had left a packet of bacon on the step of a mosque. I remember thinking for fucksake Wales this is embarrassing don't get involved! |

They are not linked. Yesterday, this man was involved in a car accident not clear from the French news what happened exactly but he end up killing a policewoman and went on the run. Today, he has now 5 people in hostage in a shop, one person has been injured.
I do hope both cases end well and that the hostages are returned safe to their families. |
