So after finally plucking up the courage to use a proper razor, instead of the clippers the other day ,I was amazed by the ease of shaving downstairs , with no cuts at all, problem is I've now developed the classic shaving rash , which isn't the most attractive look, so was wondering if anyone has any amazing tips to stop this happening ?

Thanks in Advance

If wet shaving, it's always best to shave in the direction of the hair and don't forget like normal shave you may have to use more than one blade for a cleaner job.

The over option is to use Carson's Magic Powder, primarily designed for black men who are prone to shaving rash on our faces. This stuff works wonders for gardening the downstairs bush. I certainly recommend this. -Mr.

Another option is to use baby oil - makes for a much smoother shave. Sazz used to get shaving rash until she switched to baby oil - much, much better

I shave in the bath with baby oil. Slippery but effective.

Cotton undies and always pat dry after. Never rub.

Another trick I use is to buy a cheap toothbrush and every time I swipe the blades over the area I rinse thoroughly and give the blades a quick brush. This helps to keep them sharp and clean.

Conditioner is good for shaving too.
