Get ready cos a new weather system is rapidly devolving in the sea, really strong winds will pic up, sever gales, gusting 100mph at worst cause transport disruption as well. We had heavy rain this morning, more to come the next few days.

I can hear it gusting. Not too bad here yet. I remember in the 80s sleeping through the bad storm, waking up to see big trees blown down. After that they culled some

That must be it. We all slept through it. Walked my children to school and lots of trees were down on the central reservation of the dual carriageways we cross. It's not a really wide road,I'm surprised no buildings were hit. They cut the rest down after that

So dangerous and scary. I feel bad for birds,I wonder if they know it's coming and fly somewhere safe. They seem to come back

Wasn't that when Seven Oaks lost six of it's famous oaks, as I had family living there at the time.

It really does sound horrid outside now! I hope everyone stays safe today.

I think they do. They disappear before thunderstorms.

Normal winter storm. Often happens in January.

Nothing to see here - move along!

Yes it was, it sounds bad out there at the moment. Might wander down to the seafront and check out the waves!!( from a reasonable and safe distance of course)
