I would never have my face tattooed but I have seen a couple that I thought were ok.

"im watching this and wondering why not one person has suggested he wears a cover up makeup like people do for birthmarks"
I tried these on my tattoos and didn't find they cover well but would have made them less obvious |

I've got a tattoo on the side of my neck but I'd never have one done on my face. My thinking is that mine isn't immediately obvious and I'm artistic anyway and my career is in graphics one way or another so I can get away with it, just.
I know people who have tattoos on their hands and that's another area that can work against you. Tattoos may be more accepted nowadays but not that much. |

No I would never have my face, arms or legs tattooed because of employment issues.
I do like the look of them but I have bought some really good quality fake tattoos that look good and I've used these on my face at times to go out, stars etc. I've also had mehndi on my hands which I like. Id rather do this than have anything permanent |

I think some nice dotwork patterns can look really effective on the side of the face.
I don't mind them, though my own fears ref employability would deter me from having one on my face (and neck and hands). |

There's a chap who works for a security company at various music festivals I know, must be six two, built pretty solidly and has full face coverage of mauri style tattoos....he never has to lift a finger to people purely because to most he's a pretty scary looking guy...I'm lucky enough to have to talk to him in a professional capacity and he's uch a gentle and well spoken guy...he'll bend over backward to help most people out however he can and the guys a bloody good artist too.
Shame most folk can't see past the tatts.....he's pretty much the reason I have a huge amount of respect for people with the stones to get them. At least to get professionally done good looking ones... |

"omg have you seen the bloke covered in tattoos.... his poor baby must be terrified
"
I'm not watching this...but babies are not usually terrified by the colour of someone's skin, whether drawn on or natural. |

Lee Evans does a routine on this. It's probably the only one of his that I've enjoyed, tbh. His point being that in general the closer to the face the tattoo is, the more likely the person is to be nuts.... |

Face tattoos are a definite no for me. It's fair enough if you're in the tattoo lifestyle, covered or a tattooer, but I see these young moms with face tattoos and I just think you're gonna regret that in few years. |

I would imagine if you are stupid enough to get a face tattoo then said tattoo may not be the only thing stopping you from being employed. |

I saw the clip of that and had to not look. Seems like a hotbed for infection to me and for injuries. |

Face tattoos often mean the person is a certain personality type. Your mate must surely know and understand that? |

I like them, but i love tattoos.
I woul have my throat and neck done, once i've finished my legs, arms, back and stomach. Not sure i'd have anything on the face but not seen anything i want there yet.
I've got my hand done, if someone didn't want to employ me because of that then it's their loss, i'm a hard worker and fast learner. |

My tattooist won't do face tats and as for the baby being scared of a guy covered in tats, I very much doubt it as they will grow up with it and think nothing of it probably. |

There is a prevalent societal attitude to facial tattoos, both public and business. Its not a secret how facial tattoos are regarded.
Knowing how society views them (in general), making the conscious choice to have them done means that, rightly or wrongly, you will be judged in a certain light and that there are many avenues which will be closed to you - socially and professionally.
But that person made an informed choice to do this to themselves in a society which judges people in a specific way - so are they right to complain?
Is society right to do this? Probably not. Should attitudes change? - Yes.
But that's NOT going happen overnight and right now, that's how (as a generalisation) society views face tattoos (and heavily tattooed people). |

Sort of but not quite, it isn't usually self 'mutilation' for the sake of coping, it's more for cosmetic reasons.
For boob jobs and body modifications like that you don't have to see a psychiatrist first unless your doctor thinks their are underlying psychological conditions what the body modification won't fix. Same for other body mods, most people just like them and want to be part of a clique and look a certain way, it's just the more unusual body mods are looked on as weird because they aren't accepted by the mainstream yet. |

Badly said the people sat on both sides of them, prior to having a wash. |
