One of my favourites. They really don't make musical films like this any more. I can't think of one that comes close that was written in the last 10 years. Hairspray was entertaining if you like that kind of thing,Dreamgirls had some good music but not a patch on the old musicals. |

You are 16 going on 17 is one of my faves and Raindrops on roses, whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles - funny how the words just come to mind. I watched it loads as a child. |

I made them put it on at my mother's care home. I didn't manage to get them all singing but at least there were some happy faces.
I love it. I'm convinced I was born singing all the songs as it was the film my mother saw the week before I was born.
