I'm a clean freak so when people send pictures I always look at the background.
I've had pictures sent with open toilets in the background and really messy bedrooms/living rooms, albeit them messages get deleted asap.
More strange they say on their profile there clean and would respect whomever they meet to be clean too, but doesn't the photo indicate something else  |

clean means they always use condoms and have no STD/Is. 
i have some washing in the background of my pics, it is clean but wouldn't be surprised if it put someone off lol. not bothered, that's my life and my house is tidy but not immaculate. |

I can empathise with that feeling, now don't get me wrong there's nothing a stray about a bit of washing in the back ground. However some photos look like they've been taken in a storage unit. |

The fact that someone hasn't vacuumed or decontaminated a room before they take a photograph intended for a swinging site is of little consequence to me. We all live in the real world and have lives so a little mess is inevitable so I certainly wouldn't castigate someone for it.
If someone says they're clean I take it that they're referring to STI's not that their house is an ongoing advert for Domestos. |

I posted a picture and received a message asking if I wanted help with my skirting boards as he could see they were missing. My house needs work to it so if people are put off by cosmetic work so be it. Its clean and tidy, like me. |

As a laugh I put up a status wanted carpenter,electrician, plasterer fantasy to watch them work.My inbox got flooded.In real world I would be lucky to get workmen to be so prompt. |

I think some people really do need to check/vet their pics, before sharing or posting for all to see, and I'm not just referring to the "untidy" issues. I have politely told several people that there are clearly visible pictures of family members, often including children. Some have responded politely, thanking me for pointing this out. Some have been rude and blunt in their response, which surprises me. |

I'm a carpenter, however like nearly all tradesmen house is full of unfinished projects.
I do it all day last thing I want to do at weekends is more carpentry.
Jools does have way's of convincing me tho

We try to keep house tidy but a single teenager is as messy as an atom bomb!
We can spend the entire day cleaning, go shopping come home and it's like a stampede had gone thru kitchen.
Why do teens feel the need to use the entire contents of the cutlery draw just to make toast? :-S |

hairy guys wearing stockings/tights/panties...but somehow even tho most hideous pic gets fab'd and yes i always look at the state of the room ,especially if it the bathroom .for some reason.many guys think a picture of their cock taken whilst sat on the loo is going to entice people . |

I agree to a point. Attention to detail is often very important. Its a bit like putting a decent CV together. First impressions are important. I agree with some people here, that nobody should be judged if their house is a little untidy, but on here it is one of the first things people will pick up on. It is a different process than meeting a partner in the "real world". In the real world, one would meet someone for the first time in a place of work,club,pub, etc and build an opinion accordingly. The process goes from acquaintance to friend to lover, over a different timescale, in most situations. If you met in such circumstances, and several dates down the line, where invited in for a coffee, most of us wouldn't realistically run a mile if their place was a little untidy, or you used their bathroom/toilet and spotted an overflowing laundry basket, or toothpaste caps missing. The clumsy point I am trying to make, is that rightly or wrongly, pictures of your day to day surroundings are almost the first point of contact on here, so people will be more judgemental. The people with the best cv's are not necessarily the nicest or best people for the job. They are just better at selling themselves. |

Some pictures do put us off but one in particular of a lady on all fours with poo on her bum actually made me heave, neither of us could believe that you could look at a photo, see that and still post it. |

It puts me off. It's not that their house is actually messy or untidy, it's more that they thought that was the best impression of themselves they could create (e.g. pants round ankles, open toilet bowl) To me shows lack of effort and lack of thought.
My house is messy a lot of the time so I blur out the background of my photos! |

A man standing in front of a dishevelled bed is a turn on. I imagine him laying in it with me. Only a filthy background would put me off,or serious clutter like piles of newspapers |
