Has anyone had reconstruction after a lumpectomy ? has it made you feel better or have you left the breast alone once surgery has been performed. 
I have an appointment in January to talk about and decide whether to sort out the dent I am left with. I feel lucky that i still have a boob but sort of feel sensitive about the dent I i have because the scar has attached inside, so pulls back into the boob. . I am struggling with myself thinking perhaps I am being vain and knowing that other people need surgery far more than I do.
Dont know anyone that has had fat injected and the scar untethered or if it has been successful or worth the effort.
Opinions please. |

The surgeon will discuss with you what the likely outcome is, and how it might look. You won't know for sure until it heals.
You are worth it. If it bothers you, get it done. You'll be glad you did. x |

Thanks guys.. 
I think I have pretty much decided not to do anything.. Just wondered if anyone had and if they were happy with the result.
Imagine for me it would be a huge waste of resources and time of a surgeon when others need to get stuff done. |

I think you have faced a lot and this isn't something you nec have to know right now, so you have time to work out what's right for you.things to consider I would Ask yourself if you are comfortable looking at yourself naked in a mirror and in clothing, and if you would feel more confident in yourself if you had the procedure. Your opinion is the one that truly matters.
For what it's worth, in my opinion, with or without the procedure you are a beautiful,strong,incredible woman who has faced a brutal enemy and your scars only serve to illustrate that fact.
My mother has scars on both breasts, and no reconstruction and she is the most beautiful woman I have ever known. |

Forget about other people and their needs and wants. If it bothers you and once you are fully informed go for it. They wouldn't be discussing it with you if they didn't think you was worth their time! Good luck whatever you decide. |

I have friends who have scars, doesn't bother me in the least but I do understand. If it bothers you, get surgery, but I'm sure it wouldn't matter to others, it certainly wouldn't to me xx |

I have scars from original surgery and reconstruction... I honestly thought I'd leave things as they were but after consultation, and cArefully considering all the factors, I opted for reconstruction. I now feel balanced and natural, and have never regretted my decision. You'll know what's right for you once you discuss it with the specialist x |

I would do what feels right for you. I have a friend who is currently psyching herself for reconstructive surgery.
