New Year's Eve NOT GOING OUT.

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

I haven't bothered with New Year's Eve since the millennium, I see it as an expensive anti climax, at the party I went to, by 12.30am pretty much everyone had gone home and the host was a little pissed off by this, tonight I'll probably be in bed by 10, and as usual woken up at midnight by the feckless morons beepin their bloody car horns. Anyone else ha being a quiet night tonight?

We are staying in. The last time we went out for New Year's Eve was 2006 when we got engaged! Since having children I never even manage to stay awake until midnight as I know the kids will be up really early.

Courtesy of pain relief and antibiotics this new year will be am alcohol free one, and despite being quite happy to not drink at many events being the sober one on new years is not fun.

So I'll be having a quiet night in, probably with an early night too cos I've missed a lot of sleep recently due to pain.

I'm such a party animal me!

Just going to food shops later so have things in for next day and a pub meal after. A lovely little village pub near here do very good food .. That's it for this year . I could go out but most good clubs are miles away and the next day is a right off ... And I have horses to sort and stables as no help as they are away .

Looking that way for us as we planned it like that but I'm going to call her favourite Spanish restaurant. We know the owners well so will see if they can squeeze us in, not holding out on that front though. Nothing gained, nothing lost.
