I'm going to be getting one of these in about 11 months time but not sure which gives the best value, I'm not a massive gamer but there's one or two games that I do like playing, what's the pros and cons of each console? |

I got myself a ps4 not so long ago and to be pretty honest i cant fault it at all. Id say buy a ps4 if i was you, most people do say its the better console anyway. |

Pro of ps4 dont have to pay for live membership & theres gran turismo
Pro of xbox live membership is quite good for online gaming, netflix etc & new windows laptops you can sync wirelessly to it & stream stuff through it which is quite cool
Cons of both are basically what you dont get that the other has |

Yes, graphics, my mate who is a massive gamer and has a ps4 does big up the graphics a lot. He also said you do pay for online gaming? |

You do have to pay for online gaming on the PS4.
The PS4 is by far the better console, but make your decision on what your other online friends use and which exclusives you prefer. |

Well put it this way my rig annihilates the graphics lol, Consoles are limited by the chips inside and the games are designed to work within that threshold, PC's however are not lol |

a top end gaming pc will...but u are talking thousands of pounds.
I'll get a wii u and the new zelda if anything...most xbox/ps games are just the same old game rehashed with better graphics... |

oh yeah they are can do alot more with pcs than you can with any console
i can play ps4 games using an emulator same with xbox1
pcs graphics cards can be updated unlike the ps and xbox
its how i swapped from the ps to the pc i wasnt paying that price for a console when a pc is the same price |

If you want online multiplayer gaming then by a console, I used to be a PC gamer quake swbf2 etc but switched to consoles for online playing cod etc, everyone's hardware is the same online you then just have to worry about your internet connection.
I have ps3 and 4 and a gaming PC and I get sick of having to upgrade the PC every year to play the latest games.

you do have to pay for the online part of psn on ps4. Much the same as Xbox live. Personally I have a Xbox one and think it's excellent. Had a ps4 and it was nice but the Xbox is just s better machine. Much better exclusives |

Playstation never had any Halo games though, or Gears of War, i've always gone with xbox just for those franchise games.
I get best of both worlds though as my brother always had playstations, so i get to try both platforms. |

I have both and whilst it is true that the ps4 wins the top trumps battle of having the better graphics numbers on some multi platform games. I can safely say that it is the xbox that I play more. The graphics argument whilst nominally true its pretty moot in the real world as it really is hard to see a difference.
The xbox has a much better living room integration which is probably why it has become my primary machine. It has nice touches like bringing up the American foot ball score for my team while I'm watching another tv show etc.
Also it is the only console currently with a decent racing game.
My only advice whenever I get asked this question is to get the one your mates have... That way you have plenty of people with. |

XBOX One for me a couple of the exclusives were my reasoning I personally prefer Forza to Gran Turismo Fable Legends is due out this year as well. To be honest I don't think that there is much between the two consoles It's personal preference. |
