Brighton - even Hove!

Years ago I was in a bar in Italy, a really small village and one of the guests turned out to be a friend from primary school. That was pretty amazing.

Essex.

I have two stories from work like that..

One guy was on a walking holiday in South America in a small town in the middle of a jungle and a guy from another department at work turned up...

Second one, a guy from work was on a beach in Spain with his son, who flying a kite. The guy takes loads of pics of his son. When they get home the guy finds a pic he really likes and has it blown up to poster size. In the background are two people. He looks at them and realises that one of them looks like a guy he works with... Goes back to work and shows his work mate. It was him and his son... They both knew eachother was going on holiday but not said where they were going...

Manchester Area

Rang a B & B in St Helier, gave them my STD code and they said they came from the area. I mentioned the town I was born in and the owner said his wife was also from there. I laughed saying if she knew my Dad I'd not be surprised. Turned out her step Dad was my Granddads' brother. So yes, she not only knew my Dad, but was related

This may sound long winded! The boss of one of my fbs lives in the town I went to school in and his wife went to school with my ex husband! It's all the more strange as I've moved 250 miles away from where I grew up!

Menston near Ilkley

I met a guy in a bar in Perth, Australia. Who it turned out had worked on the same ship as me for 18 months and yet we'd never seen each other before.

Titz Towers, North Notts

I was once out dogging and two chaps I was playing with used to work together. They only twigged on when we came out of the wood and into the light. I doubt either updated their facebook status over it...

a lot of my friends go travelling and backpacking .... they are always part amazed and part annoyed at how many folks they meet in remote locations around the world who know me and my brother. i also used to tour with bands ... it was quite usual for us to arrive at a city abroad where we would being playing a gig and immediately bump into someone i knew well.... a bloke i knew from kyoto told me the japanese say "it's a narrow world", i think this is true

Hereabouts

I was at a water park in Corfu a few years ago, and right at the top of the slide I saw someone in my textiles class at school xD she never liked me, and I was wearing a bikini. I didn't wanna go back to school incase she picked on me for being fat in a bikini! Haha
