I often see regular posters in these here forums... However I rarely look at their profiles unless it's either a post I think whoa that's way off or yeah spot on.

I often look at people's profiles as a result of forum posts. I've realised that if people are posting here, it's an indication of being serious about the scene. Also, their posts give a bit more of an idea about who they are and how they think, which is important to me as I'm looking for a mental connection as well as glorious, sensual, physical, passionate love making! |

I am sometimes, as it's nice to get a glimpse of the person behind the statement. Mind you, I've been lucky enough to meet a lot of forum regulars at socials, so I know how nice they are. |

I'm very nosy, I look at everyone's. Plus I'm crap at remembering images, so if someone changes their name (like for Christmas) I have no idea who it is and have to go and remind myself. |

Its rear in forums I look at there profiles. Maybe look if I get mail from a person . Its been 7/ 8 years here so I get a bit fed at times and find I just like reading and taking part in the forums . |

You're right...that's nonsense. Sorry, should have fleshed my thoughts out a bit more with that: posting in the forums shows active engagement and from that (looking at who posts, how often and what they're saying) is a good indication, I think, of whether they're serious or timewasters. |

I'm rubbish at names and photo's. Lots look the same and I'm easily confused.  
But it doesn't really matter to me, I reply to what people say, not who is saying it. |

Sometimes I look as my thumb hits the wrong part of the screen when scrolling.
Sometimes I look because it is a controversial post, and I want to see who is behind it.
Sometimes I look as I am not sure who it is (name changes avatar changes etc.)
Mostly I look because I can. |

I have to disagree with you again but what you say here is also nonsense. Most of the men I've met and had fun with in my four years on and off this site have never read the Forums let alone post on them.
As far as active engagement is concerned, you don't have to use the Forums or the Chat rooms to do that. You can just use the site to make contact by messaging and meeting.
Oh and I've never met a non forum participating time waster to date! |

Always looking at profiles, there's some good ones out there plus we're still at the settling in period in swinging terms so the more informed we are in whatever way that takes the better we feel it is. Nosey is a good thing. |

. I like to look at the profile of those who post in the forums and how their profile is presented or written. From the contents of some posts , it is possible to predict the content of the profile ( or lack of content and poor choice of pictures ). Looking at profiles is not being nosey , it is taking an interest in the person who posts them. |
