I had to return some stuff I was bought that was the wrong size. Ended up buying a pair of trousers for my nan, some tooth polish stuff and got my phone fixed. Last one wasn't in a sale, but it did need to be done. I wanted to buy perfume or make up but couldn't find anything I liked, but I only really looked at non sale stuff as it's tidier.

Not really keen on shopping but I bit the bullet and went to the Ralph Lauren shop to get 60% off some shirts and a jumper. 10 min queue to get in and 20 to get to the till. Worth it though.

I never bother with the sales, can't be arsed with it, the one and only time i went was a nightmare, no where to park and people like sardines in shops, never again.

Do it online! From a comfy bed!

Got a few bargains in the shops too though but didn't go anywhere we didn't need to go anyway - next years Xmas decorations are sorted and going in the loft later, picked up some more chocolates at Asda (like we needed more!! ) and got a bargain deal on a suit I need for a wedding next year.

IMO I think the sales ruin Christmas, rather than spend the day with family and friends people spend the day either online or preparing to go grab a bargain, which is invariably the same crap that's been in stores for the last few months just with £10 off. I'd rather enjoy my time and shop less.

I got a gorgeous leather look mini skirt from M&S. Mind you I only saw it after we'd been to the tills. So I had to rejoin the queue.

I did however manage to get a nice jumper from primark that actually fit me. Big surprise.

Did all mine online:

Full red silicone hose kit for my car (upper and lower turbo, VNT solenoid pipes and all coolant pipes) £90

A litre of Meguiars M105 and a litre of Meguiars M205 (machine polishing compounds) £50

Race spec oil cooler and anodized pipework £120 (serious bargain, the cheapest standard spec one I've seen is over £400 without the pipes)

Assorted machine polishing pads £30

Now, I've just got to find time to fit/use it all, I may hunt out an FMIC while I'm at it.

*shudders*

I saw my neighbour start to clear snow off his car today with a brush. I told him to go back inside and have a drink and I did it properly for him so it didn't cause any scratches. I also put some anti fog treatment on the inside glass for him too coz I'm nice like that.

I went with a cracking headache and a hacking cough. It did seem to move the queues though especially when I was coughing over them. Lol.

Have been known to indulge in the past but just couldn't be bothered to make the journey to the shops.

Anything we've wanted, been purchased from the warmth and comfort of the sofa
