Ok, 'does size matter?' is a common question, but does anyone ever wonder why penises aren't simply a 'one size fits all', uniform length and thickness?
I mean when you strip it all down to the basics, sex is about making babies and carrying on the parents bloodlines, so as long as a penis is capable of effectively delivering the necessary semen into a woman to allow this to happen then why would there even need to be any variation in size? |

I suppose there are variations in (almost ?) all phenotypical traits and those that are advantageous to a particular time or place will remain/survive/be passed on...
Penis size seems, in evolutionary terms at least, to not matter that much... A small willied person, in the real world, won't have much trouble finding a mate just because of the size of his willy. |

I ponder on that question as well, and we can easily transfer the subject to any part of the body in that case...

Genetics does affect how you will turn out, after all you can only become a product of what materials are there to begin with (unless you mutate). Your size will be dependent upon the males from your mother or fathers side, the mothers side is the dominant one.
Hormone exposure, diet, and mutations can affect size as well. I don't think geneticists are sure exactly, because all they do is find links between peoples genes and DNA (and ask questions about other stuff) and just look for links between them, often it is obvious that a certain gene or hormone affects penis size when there is something abnormal or a change happens during treatment. |

It's actually an interesting question though and have wondered myself why our bodies are so different, even to the point where of how the first of anything came to be. Am trying to figure out what the point in period pains is because nobody knows about that either.
We have a good knowledge (overall) to hand of anatomy, but often don't know why some things are because there doesn't seem to be any reason for it or conclusive proofs or links. |
