Almost everyone has insecurities regarding their appearance. With a lot of women in particular, body size is an issue. For me, it's my face. What are everyone else's insecurities and how does it affect your willingness to show yourself on here or when meeting? |

Mines my belly, I don't think I'm that great over all but my belly is the thing I really hate, it does hold me back a little, though I have met some great guys I could have met a lot more if I stopped worrying
The thing about bellies is you don't get them out or show them over a drink and though someone may like the look of you with your clothes on I worry that once naked they will change their mind then put them in a awkward position of having to get out of the meet and for this reason I just tend not to meet that much |

I'm not talking a few stretch marks here I have in the past weighted over 20 stone and I've had 3 sections so after a big weight loss and having my stomach muscles cut open three times its really quite bad to the point people do and have commented on it |

"My left ring finger is too short, on account of cutting the top 3mm off of it
How did you manage that?"
it was quite easy, I used a power saw, very messy though took hours to clean up the blood spatter before I could go to the hospital |

I was with my ex for eight years and she also had three c-sections. She also weighed almost 20 stone, so it's just normal to me. |

I don't have any real insecurities. I'm far from a perfect physical example and not the best looking but have grown to be very comfortable in my own skin |

I think most blokes expect it. None of us are kids any more and most of us know what pregnancy can do to a woman's body. I recon with my ugly mug I've more to be concerned about than you and in all honesty I couldn't give 2 fucks so why should you x |

Some people are just more confident than others I guess
I think if I'm totally honest its more about how I feel about it than how I feel others will, I genuinly do feel ashamed of it and I do often think men must be desperate to still want to shag me after seeing it, I do apologise to any men I have shagged who may read this |

you sure couldn't say your body mate
But yes we all do have insecurities, but I guess we have other asset than can be used to counteract your insecurities, which might not be a issue to who you are meeting with |

I'm a long way from perfect but not really insecurities as such. I too have what I like to call a unique belly, its wobbly wobbly and looks like a deflated balloon but I'm quite attatched to it, noones ever commented on it that's for sure. I really dislike my bat wings but can always get them removed when I get to target weight.

It's not so much my face per se, but the skin on it. I have rosacea, so can be prone to horrible breakouts. |

My body as I'm overweight. I usually hide it under sexy undies which works for me. No one I've met has ever made a negative comment though, in fact quite the opposite. I will lose the weight I've gained now that I'm well again though |

If you don't mind me asking is the beard for a reason? my preferred look is stubble, just long enough to be soft but easy to lose if someone doesn't like it. My reason for the preferred look is scars under my chin
(yes I am careless!) missing finger tips and too many scars to count are some of my insecurities. |

Just where I need to be. |
Had a lot of insecurities about my body. Did not want to be naked. Then met someone and for the first time I felt comfortable in my skin. Now I think my wobbly bits and stretch marks are who I am. Yes I still have a few doubts at times but usually I am too busy enjoying myself to wonder if he can see my marks. |

I don't have any major insecurities at present, i think if anything I used to wonder if I was a 'swinger' and thought I was out of place at some events as I was either too fussy / happy socialising.
Also, if anyone has any major insecurities, I would worry that swinging may not assist their impact on self-esteem / perception. Things like weight though can obviously be worked on, if people are overweight. |

Height is an insecurity for me because I hate feeling too tall and standing out. I'm just a big person, big hands, big feet, big head, big hips....and it's not exactly feminine But then, there's nothing I can do about it so I just strap on my high heels and keep searching for that 7 ft man who'll make me look short |

Try being a man where you never get attention from the opposite sex, never get compliments, never wanted, never desired. Then you'll soon feel insecure. |

I mentioned to someone else earlier in the thread that it's not so much the appearance of my actual face, but more so the skin. I have rosacea which can cause some pretty nasty flare-ups |

Everywhere you look there are images of naked or near naked women perceiving images of what women are supposed to look like and what the majority of men want to see, I have never seen a size 20 + women on page 3 or the front cover of nuts or flat chested women, simply because this isn't the type of women society as a whole wants to see, so is there any wonder so many women feel inadiquate, my daughter is only 13 and she's already worrying about if she looks OK, does my head in
But even as an adult I'm clued up enough to know I'm not the type of woman men typically go for and even though I know there's not a lot I can do about this it does not stop me wishing I was the type of women men liked |

The majority of *conventionally attractive* women will always get attention from men at some point in their lives.
I'd argue that the same is true for men.
There are double standards everywhere though - for example, watch BBC news tonight. There's unlikely to be a woman over 45 or with a single hair out of place, but there will be men considerably older, fatter, greyer and scruffier, because it's ok for men to look like that, it gives them gravitas.
While I have no idea what it's like being a man, you have no idea what it's like being a woman, in this society or any other. |

It wasn't too long ago that I was a much much heavier guy and though I'm aware I look a lot better now I still have that fat man brain If that makes sense? I see myself as worse than I am...a slight body dismorphya. That's slowly going though the more I've seen what I can do with my body these days....
Oh, and my ever thinning hair, clippers are my friend in this case though |

I realised I didn't have any body insecurities after meeting my first regular sex buddy. After putting on 9 stone in a year my ex husband would revel in calling me a fat doughnut eating cunt. I had no problem being undressed by my friend, who was younger, handsome and lovely. I wasn't shy or embarrassed by my wobbly, stretch marked stomach or huge bum. His first words as he killed me were, you are everything I thought you would be. He taught me a lot about my sexual self. On here I do tell men I'm fat to avoid them being disappointed |

Kissed not killed right? Unless your foruming from the grave!
I know what ou mean though...I used to be real big and very aware of it....never got crap off anyone I loved but through school I got the normal name calling and such blah blah...nowt too bad, not bullying...just the norm.
But I came to meet a girl off here two years ago almost and she made me feel a lot better about myself and funnily that's what inspired me to loose it all....funny old thing that. I still see myself as bigger than I am but from a couple of years back....I'm not the same human being at all..... |

I am about 6 inches too short
I am about 4 stone overweight
I am balding
I am covered in hair, everywhere apart from the top of my head
My eyesight is shockingly bad
My bottom teeth are crooked
I need to take daily meds for a variety of ailments
I have a skin condition for which there is no cure or real treatment
Trust me, if I wanted to be insecure, I'd have plenty to go at
But hey, what's the point ?
I have the power to change some of the things, I have zero control over others.
I could change all of the things I can control and I still wouldn't really be able to change 'me'
No point in being down about it.
It is what it is. Life.
You do what ya do and you make the bloody best of it |

I used to worry a lot about my appearance, but i try to think about the positives now im older like my height and that im lucky that i'm the same weight i was when i was 18. And contact lenses means i don't have to be restricted to wearing glasses, which i've always hated wearing and have always been self conscious wearing.
I think these sort of sites can mess with people's heads if they take them too seriously. |

I've learnt to do this in the last couple of months . I've got rid of and ignored the 'crap' in my life and he can bledi well sod off to the dark side of the moon for all I care. It's taken a couple of years but you have NO idea how good it feels

I'm not sure what that equates to in men's sizes but I was a 44inch waist and now a 32 so know a little bit how you feel. I still feel larger than I am....not terribly but enough to notice it....I've been lucky in that I've been left with very little excess skin though so never had to deal with that too much....I imagine its disheartening....it will draw in with its own natural elasticity though and I'm sure there's other ways to combat it.........?
If not then its a psychological issue I guess to come to love yourself because outwardly to me and I guess many others on here your an attractive woman, warts and all.... |

Yes we are. Not on here, but in the real world.
I'm sorry, but I'm calling bullshit on this one. The majority of women in real life will always get attention from men at some point in their lives. Yes, men desire female celebrities, but at the cost of 'normal' women? Of course not! We like them equally. Can you honestly say the same for how women _iew celebrity men and 'normal' men?
The majority of *conventionally attractive* women will always get attention from men at some point in their lives.
I'd argue that the same is true for men.
There are double standards everywhere though - for example, watch BBC news tonight. There's unlikely to be a woman over 45 or with a single hair out of place, but there will be men considerably older, fatter, greyer and scruffier, because it's ok for men to look like that, it gives them gravitas.
While I have no idea what it's like being a man, you have no idea what it's like being a woman, in this society or any other. "

But you are right the amount of columns in newspapers telling you women that you are wrong if you don't conform to a certain shape and size is obscene. Thing is vast majority of these articles are written by fellow females. You pressurise each other far more than us men do. |

My arms are vile. And I have too much body hair. I remove that but there's little I can do about my arms without caning free weights and I don't really have the time or inclination to do that. I'm also rather fat all over, but I like my shape.
Nothing has ever stopped me from meeting someone I fancy. Even if I think they're physically perfect I don't worry unnecessarily. I am what I am. |

I don't think you can blame a journalist for an editorial policy. And it's a lot more subtle than that. There was a report about The Sun earlier this year about the images they use. Almost all women are modeling or posing while men are in far more natural environmenmts. This is even true for sport. When the nations best selling paper objectifies women as something nice to look at, that shapes an awful lot of subconsciousness's. And the Sun is far from the only culprit. Almost all media is true of it to varying degrees

I meant kissed, although some of the sex we had almost killed me. I was underweight, slim or hourglass figure most of my life. I don't feel any different now to any other time in my life. Actually,my elder sisters used to make fun of me being skinny when I was a kid. It wasn't malicious and maybe it's why I don't take name calling to heart. I don't want a slimmer body just to get more appreciative looks from men or attention from men who wouldn't look at me now. I don't value their attention to care |

i have way too many imperfections but I'm not insecure.
Stretch marks
Wobbly bits
Too much body hair due to polysistic ovaries
Too tall
Big feet
Huge head
Overweight
Covered in moles
Deeper voice than most women
Clicky hips
But to be honest, I'm still happy with my body. The flab, stretch marks, body hair can all be covered with a sexy babydoll, nobody cares about my flabby arms when I'm clawing the sheets and moaning while my boobs bounce around. Everything else I've learned to just accept. If someone doesn't like me then that's their problem, not mine. I photograph well and I make people laugh so who cares about the rest of it? |

Everywhere you look there are images of naked or near naked women perceiving images of what women are supposed to look like and what the majority of men want to see, I have never seen a size 20 + women on page 3 or the front cover of nuts or flat chested women, simply because this isn't the type of women society as a whole wants to see, so is there any wonder so many women feel inadiquate, my daughter is only 13 and she's already worrying about if she looks OK, does my head in
But even as an adult I'm clued up enough to know I'm not the type of woman men typically go for and even though I know there's not a lot I can do about this it does not stop me wishing I was the type of women men liked "

I just hate the way I look at the moment - I'm scared that I'll get rejected on a meet.
If you meet the right person though you will be too busy enjoying yourself and so forget about worrying if you look ok."
I know you're right!
I have had amazing times with amazing people that thought I was beautiful to them - but I still can't believe it myself
I'm starting to wonder if this is the right place for me to be - as I just can't seem to make the first step to meet someone here and get over myself!

I've had 5 full term babies, 3 were 10lb. 4 by c-section. Not got a flat stomach and the bottom of it is wrecked. I still get naked with people and have naked pics in my friends pics so people can see what they're getting. I have gone on cam here naked as well.
My body isn't perfect, don't care and i would even be happy to walk in public naked like this. People who accept 'imperfections' are realists and i'm like that. |

I have a bit of a complex about my mug shot.
One thing I have learnt is to worry less about what people think of my looks. Those that were willing to meet me, met me. Nearly all of them have been willing to meet again.
The knock backs are a bummer for sure, but there really is someone for everyone on here!
People latch on to negativity. I don't mean the odd down day, the repeated no-one meets me cos of my looks/build etc. Confidence is difficult to build, but with time, and a meet or two, this will come.
I still would change my mug though... |

I've got quite low self esteem in general and have also battled with my weight all my life. I've yo/Tod between a size 12-22 in the past 10 years. Had a lot of teasing due to being "tubby" as an adolescent and not much luck with the boys until I dated online die to lack of confidence and being overweight I guess. My partner and FBs continually tell me I'm gorgeous but it's hard for me to believe really.
I also have PCOS although am receiving laser and am trying to lose weight again and get fit song can be a normal BMI. I absolutely detest my stomach. It's gross |

Physically I'm reasonably fit due to my cycling. I'm very short at 5'2" but its never really bothered me strangely enough - plus its ideal for being a TV!
My insecurities are in my head. All my life ive had this crippling fear that I'm about to be found out as a fake, that I don't fit in & don't deserve to.
People will tell you I'm a really outgoing & gregarious person, a real 'people person' & its hilarious to me as its such a fucking lie.
Ive done things like re-enactment shows where ive done solo presentations to a crowd of hundreds, ive done stuff for television etc yet underneath it all I'm terrified someone will suss me out as a faker. |

MY insecurities are also mental when you lose your virginity aged 35 mainly due to people telling you 'you're fat its no wonder you're single' along with not being able to read the signs of if a lady likes me or is being friendly.
After a few times getting it wrong I stuck for many years assuming that any woman who approached me was just being nice and was in no way attracted to me .
So I now know people do find me attractive but with my lack of experience I sometimes stress if I can live up to peoples expectations sexually |
