Just had a pretty horrible journey back from the North West coast...aquaplaning and slush plowing were order of the day

Sheffield

I'm from Sheffield , we were at Port Vale watching the Blades yesterday afternoon, 9 hours to get home, finally made it into the house at 2.05am, there were hundreds of cars blocked on Sheffield Parkway with people who had been caught in the weather/accidents, children , elderly , football fans, and the only gritter we saw all the way from Stoke to Sheffield was the one blocked in the same traffic jam on the parkway.......

.8"plus of snow where I live on the edge of the Peak District, have been digging the drive and roads to clear the snow all morning to be able to get my car back home from where I had to leave it when I got back to the village last night. Now it's so cold it's all frozen over and the roads are just sheet ice
