Are you alone through choice? If not, have you thought about mixing with others or volunteering? Will help break the day up if it bothers you, being alone etc? Just a thought  |

I dont have any family to spend it with this year everyone around me is looking forward to family time and xmas fun  |

I did christmas with my son early, and now looks like the friend I was going to help on christmas day has changed his mind, so I'll be alone, but that is fine. I am quite happy with my own company. |

Im on my own too but am not lonely anymore....Have gotten used to it. Its just another day & will be making up for it at Eurekas on NYE.
Some years Ive volunteered at the soup kitchens to keep myself busy.
You're not alone however much you feel it x x |

I spent to many christmas's alone while in the military and it truly sucks.
So if you all can fly to the states you can spend it with me and my boys.
But a heads up to the females I've got a 16 yr old that thinks he's some kind of gigalo lol |

Another lone Xmas here too. Used to have my daughter over each boxing day, I made that my Xmas but she now 14 and as we all know dads are uncool once you turn 12!
So It's looking like cheese on toast and a mince pie again. Lol

Xmas on my own as well, not the nicest time of year to be on your own but there are people out there who have lost loved ones, don't have a home for xmas etc so my thoughts go to those who are in a worse position than me. Merry Xmas folks hope you all have a lovely festive time x |

I have the kids for xmas day and then by myself for the rest of the holidays. My ex and I alternate xmas with the kids so I've had my fair share of being on my own xmas day. I chose to live a single life so I suppose you've got to take the good with the bad.
Still undecided about NYE. Club or early night! |

I am alone but not lonely, plenty of food bought in (to much in fact for just me and the cat) So I will extend my hand and like Cheeky, if anyone in the area who is truly at a loss, and doesn't mind being covered in cat hair your more than welcome! |

I wi be out eating with strangers then i will be alone for the rest of the day.. Have a good two hour walk to do aswell to get to the restaurant and back so as im still in a fair bit of pain with my shoulder i will probably just go back to bed x |

. Yes and I enjoy having some time in the house .I am always travelling to various locations and meeting different people . I get back to my house for about six days in the month so it is nice to have one day in the year when I can totally relax. |

I was alone last Christmas and did breakfast for the homeless with a charity. It was the most humbling yet rewarding thing I've done in ages.

i'm also alone this year, but despite that i quite enjoy Christmas, it'll be a Turkey/Chicken/Duck curry tomorrow, with mango & pineapple thrown in, my speciality, followed by chocolate trifle
And after dinner i might just have a peek at meets to see if anyone fancies company and/or a drink |

This will be the first ever Christmas I've spent alone ... well I'm not exactly alone, my Mother is coming for her dinner but it's not the same as having a partner. My wife decided to leave in October and it's kinda left a bit of a hole to be honest .... well after almost 10 years of being married, going through thick and thin with her, sickness and in health and all the things you are supposed to do .... it would do wouldn't it ? Yeah there are shags out there if needed, and I'll be honest again, I've made use of some of them but at the end of the day, they go home and I close the door - I'm still alone and I hate it - especially at this time of year.

That's it I'm on my own now, my best friend has a massive party boxing day but I'm not going. I'm going to stay in in the warmth and surface when I'm no longer in pain, just me and the cats. Bliss

Well my christmas day has been spent in a&e i got taken in by ambulance as my gall bladder was playing up and as i already have a hurt shoulder the pains travelling up caused me agony,
4.30 i got there and they discharged me with pain meds at 9.20, i rang my taxi, saw it pull into the car park then the next thing i know the taxi driver and an ambulance crew were stood over me as id passed out!
Hurt my hip/leg and hit my head quite hard when going down!
As everyone had plans no-one could come get me and stay with me so I had to sit in an uncomfortable day room with nurses observing me all day
Missed out on a lovely christmas dinner at cafe rouge, hops gave me one but it was disgusting to say the least and couldnt help but cry it upset me so much (i know its just a dinner)
So finally home in my bed and honestly now cant stop crying I feel so rotten x |

in between watching tv, facebook etc I have been popping on here and its been a great way to feel in touch with the rest of the world, so thank you fabbers I dont feel alone, and the freedom to talk about it, something I would not feel comfortable to put on facebook. Merry Christmas all xx |

Blimey , that's awful. Tomorrow will be better. Cry get get it all out your system . Hope the hospital gave u some painkillers that will also help u to sleep. Get a good nights rest
