Yet another day in dark and dismal england .

thunder...lightning...hammering it down continually.

Im fed up with it all and im no sunworshiper either.

Just a nice warm sunny day would be nice .

Gonna put away the bbq...take down the gazebo (when it stops raining)

And say goodbye to the summer

I can't believe people are still surprised by the lack of sun to be honest, for the last three years it's clear that our traditional four seasons have changed into five (through global warming? Who knows?) We now have spring(nid march till about a week into may) summer (may, june and a week or so in July)rainy season/monsoon(july and august) autumn (mid sept till late november, then the obligatory winter.

This doesn't fuss me too much as my birthday is now in summer, and besides it's hard to beat sex outside in a thunderstorm...

Still, thats what they say about Scottish weather..if you dont like it, wait 10 minutes for it to change!

Hooray ...... Makes me shriek when people say. ohhhhhhhh where is the Summer. I never say anything - I just imagine they have lived in a cupboard for the last twenty years. Britain isn't exactly advertised as a Sun Kissed Beach Bum Surfin' Resort.

Come to think of it...haven't seen a camel down the shops since February

I think summer is truly done and dusted. We were roasting in the last few weeks at school ... had fans going full tilt and the kids couldn't concentrate as they were dripping with sweat. Shame it was all over by the start of the summer hols.

We've just come back from a wash-out camping holiday in Devon to grey skies here at home. Whinge whinge whinge ... I'm allowed to moan about the weather though - I'm British!!

It's not sunny but it is warm and humid. Certainly feels like thunder-weather and I love a good thunderstorm. I'd love to be out on the praerie in America when they have one of them real rattling thunder & lightening storms.

Terrible weather today, but on the whole we have got away with it this summer down here.

Less than a third of the rainy days that we saw last June/July and for that we are grateful.

Off to Ibiza next month and am expecting it to be very expensive this year, prices have gone up considerabley over the last few years. You can see how with the recession people are staying at home in record numbers this year.

I'd be pissed off too peaches.... to be honest - bloody hate bbq food. Always do it in the oven ..... Why do people like struggling over a teeensy weensy bit of charcoal when there is a state of the art oven a few feet away ?

I do like a beach fire or bbq.

Hope it's sunny for you soon x x

Maybe not a hurricane but I'd love to chase tornadoes around for a while.

Intrigued, do they guarantee you that you get to chase a tornado?, only I wouldn't have thought they come along like buses. Do you get a refund if you don't get to chase a tornado during your stay?

Its actually storm chasing, in Tornado Alley.

While they don't guarantee a tornado, there usually is at least one. I love storms, which is the main reason for the holiday. A tornado will be a huge bonus!!!

There is something special about a stormy sky and the heaviness you feel in the air, sounds great.

Miserable here in Gloucester this morning, where's the summer thats what i want to know, means the pub where i work part time will either be completely dead as people won't want to bother to go out or busy as people are bored and want something to do, unless football or rugby is on, in which case there will be definitely more staff than customers ah well least i will still get paid

Fingers crossed it clears up for the beach party but not holding out much hope
