I feel like I have gone through different phases in my life...
16-25 didn't stress or worry about anything. In hindsight there was plenty to stress about, I moved out at 16 had to study, work and run a house. Married and had a baby young and had to spend months alone whilst my husband was in some of the most dangerous situations to support us.
25-35 ultra organised, making lists, making sure everything was done to schedules. I absolutely thrived on the stress an it made me focused and determined.
Last few years; I can cope with anything, the slightest things upset me and I bury my head in the sand if anything becomes remotely difficult.
My child is now grown, I have a great job which provides us with the best of things and its stress free, no worries at all. Yet one small thing can set me spiraling out of control.... Is if my age, hormones, what I've no idea?

It might be age, hormones and a change from a stress that you could manage to a strain that you can't.
Some find being busy all the time relaxing - they strive on it all. For others it's too much. Ask either to flip into the other mode and they will struggle.
Work out what your stress triggers are, how often it happens, whether it is linked to anything you have been eating, the time of your cycle or disturbed sleep.
Try practicing mindfulness and look at yoga.

Thats quite something. i think you have just described my life. even down to a temporary lapse from reality a while back when it all got a bit much.
Dont know is the answer to your main question. but it is interesting to see it in writing so clearly and know im not the only one who has gone through the same stages.
Good luck and best wishes with it.

I've always been the same. I just plod on regardless of what's going on around me. I don't do drama or stress really. Now and then I have a meltdown and yell at anyone and anything then its back to plodding on.
I have always seen little point in worrying about stuff. If you can do something about it then do it, otherwise it's out of your control so no amount of worrying will change a thing. |

here and there, thereabouts |
Combination of exercise and chill out.
I go for a run with my 'stressed out' playlist, then either read or watch something I really enjoy that I've seen oodles of times.
Walk in the country and just be, no music, no phone surfing, just me,the dog and nature.
Bake, as the recipes require concentration and the process soothes me.
Gardening. Because you get to get grubby!
Run around the park with the kids, reminds me to be present in the moment and not carry it with me. |

I have a chilled out life in general, as I stated, get abroad once a month, great friend and family, get to the gym everyday.... But still, get a speeding ticket and I turn into a jibbering wreck that won't even fill in the forms and hope it'll just disappear!! lol |

I'd consider if you have any anxiety triggers esp if you say you previously handled stress in general well, could be nothing at all, or it could be something.perhaps worth mentioning to your doctor.

Ah! you've lost the ability to manage official stuff. When that happens to me it's a sign that my depression is on the rise. The longer you leave it the worse it gets and then it becomes stressful.
Try making a little list and setting yourself an achievable target. A little bit every day. It doesn't always work for me but sometimes it does.

Stopped taking my anti depressants in may coz of the excessive weight gain, against doctors orders. I am aware that it may be that but with the amount of exercise I'm getting I do feel the natural endorphins are far better than the medication, I genuinely do feel happier. Just the fecking 2 stone I have to shed, that won't shift is driving me mad!! |

Ok, I understand that. I am the fattest I have ever been after changing antidepressants a couple of years ago.
Keep an eye on yourself if the tears are coming when you have to do things as the natural endorphins may not be enough during the dark months.

I deal with it with a hard gym workout and finish of with the treadmill, you get in such a high state of mind after that you have secured the status to be untouchable and all negative thoughts and stress erases |

I need to workout more to relax. I never find the time.
But when I do it works. Lack of sleep kills me too. |

Thanks hun... I've gone from a size 8 to 12 and it is upsetting especially as it won't come of regardless of eating clean, under 1000 cals per day and running approx. 50km a week. But I'll persevere |

Hi, thanks for asking, not too bad now though I think something like that does change you a bit.
Perhaps its a part of getting older and changing responsibilities, sometimes it doesnt seem logical.
Hope you work it out in a positive way, some of the advice being given seems quite logical and sound

Neither of us really stress out much were pretty chilled out 99% of the time.
If I am ever stressed or a bit peeved off I just sit and watch our sausage dog for 5 mins.....he's a 4 legged walking comedy show, always cheers me up |

I suffered a couple of years bak had a full blown melt down at work ended up off for 3months cudnt cope it so wasnt me i usually cope with anything n everything.had counselling n cbt n im fine now but wud say more sensitive to things. Tends to be alot of things piled on top of each other n can go bak many years wher u havent dealt with things just put them to oneside n ignored them. U mite of changed ur behaviour slightly which stops u releaving the stress which then builds up. Talking about it with good friends helps alot but choose who u tell wisely. Worst thing that can be said is pull urself together cos sumtimes u just cant its also a way ur body tells u thers sumthing wrong |
