Just made some mulled cider and it is very nice! Not as sweet as mulled wine, nice edge to it.

What do you drink at Christmas that you wouldn't usually? Alcoholic or otherwise

Mulled wine and baileys. I remember my mum would drink snowballs and babycham only at Xmas and I'd be allowed a few sips.

Never had eggnog but if I'm going to try it I'd rather have a proper one, not some of this ready made stuff you can get

Eggnog is the same as advocaat. It's like a thin custard with (usually) rum in it and a few spices. Made properly with cream it's much more palatable than the bottled stuff.

This Christmas I'm drinking a fizz cocktail made with prosecco and rose hip syrup - it's delish!

Snowballs, Babysham, Prosecco, Baileys etc. Really love Rekorderlig winter cider but not many places seem to stock it from what I've seen!

Oh it tasted very nice but unfortunately it seems my tummy isn't happy about it (can be a bit hit and miss with dairy) so won't be having any more.
