Have you looked at the Surface Pros? We have a couple for our conference rooms and they're way better than any other tablets I've used.

Bournemouth

The Gadget show programme on the TV reviewed these the other day, impartial, (allegedly) might be worth a look if your undecided .

Probably on catch up.

Are the surface pros a good laptop replacement...?

I've already got an iPad but am looking for something that'll help me be productive on the move.... Mostly office apps and net browsing.... I'm a little wary of the keyboard being a little too flimsy - particularly as the pro is rather expensive

Yes. We are replacing loads of laptops at work with the surface pro. I have the original surface rt and love it. I will replace my laptop with a pro when its due and want to swap my work laptop for one

They run Windows (the UI is a full Windows version) and come with a detachable keyboard so I'd say yes. Plus they have USB ports unlike other tablets. Memory is excellent too. I just think they're really smart for what is essentially a tablet.

Will definitely look into it. My new work place has a salary sacrifice scheme which enables me the option to buy a new laptop....and I'm tempted by the pro.
