Some I learn from.....some I repeat.....guess it depends on the magnitude of the repercussions of the mistake, the risks and rewards involved etc.....
If I miss a bus by setting off a bit late...no biggie, I can catch the next one....fairly repeatable mistake....... but if I have a crash because I was driving like a dick (true story) I learn and stop driving like a dick...... |

I used to forget my sat nav is obsessed about sending through st albans town centre whenever i was driving in that area. But now I know to use a map and plot a decent route ! 3 or 4 times in that pointless traffic jam did eventually help me rewire my brain ! |

"Make the same mistake twice. Or do you learn from the first time? " I've made the same mistake more than twice sometimes, but I do learn from it in the end. An ex messaged me only yesterday in fact and I've learnt not to answer him, which is a big step forward for me |

Same here Legs! I've learnt to step away and realise he's not my problem anymore! It's very cathartic.
Making a mistake can actually be a good thing, as you definitely learn from it. I've made and still do make plenty though. Running out of plain flour and using self raising to roll my pastry out on yesterday (because I was trying not to nip to the shops!) lemon curd tart turned out rather puffy and interesting! |
