Please note this method is based on exeperience and is tried and tested.

Step 1. Read a forum thread which takes your eye.

Step 2. Deceide to make a post.

Step 3. Hit the wrong button, reply in private rather than the reply in forum.

Step 4. Avoid getting too excited when the "1 envelope icon" appears

Step 5. Avoid getting too disappointed when you realise who it is from.

Step 6. And this is the key, hit the "back" button at regular intervals , and hey presto, regular messages will appear.

Are any of you lovely peeps out there keen to assist me in my research?

You need to set either a prize for required assistance... or be ready to award a qualification for such

Replying to the forum and in private have two distinctively different looking windows, and I am at loss how one can get it mixed up, sorry!

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

If one focusses entirely on the input box, it's quite easily done!

Even more so if on a phone's small screen.

Wow this is a great tip!

I just tried it and can confirm it works!

PLUS! I find I always have lots in common with the mailer as well which is a great ice breaker in these situations.

One word of caution though guys, I did send quite a few messages to myself and it pissed me off so I blocked myself

Huh? Look directly under this post and you will see some words very close together, similar style and format. Easy to hit the wrong one.
