Hi Fabbers, not sure if this has been covered before but was just thinking how strange some laws are, for instance, prostitution is illegal however porn is legal, essentially your paying for sex still, the difference is a video camera,
thoughts and opinions welcome, was only a bored thought in amongst daydreams lol |

fair point but essentially my point is in some porn films supposedly they pick up girls from the street for filmed sex is that not similar to a form of kerb crawling or soliciting yourself for money? |

It is amazing how many people still seem to believe that prostitution is illegal.
I would also debate the OP's contention that pornography is legal. Not all pornography is legal.

Some films also show murder, that's not legal either. |

I know its not really well not all of it, however from an unknowing party it could seem like an illegal act,
My point us this if a women was kerb crawling so long as her or her client films it its legal? |

I'm gonna focus on the law bit, not the fact you got stuff wrong coz it's been said.
There's a load of hypocrisy in law.
If you have the money to be above the law then you can do that.
If you break the law and no-one finds out you get away with it.
You can change laws, using pressure or you can ignore them (ignoring is the easiest way). You can point out things that seem to contradict, but basically laws are there only as a guide to how we should live, this is why justice was more focused on rehabilitation and dealing with the causes of crime rather than just punish it.
So prostitution is complicated, can be relatively harmless, or can be quite dark and have some very dodgy stuff going on in there (some of it involving high up people who can pay their way out of anything or have the influence to keep themselves out of trouble). It is very convenient to keep prostitution hidden from the public eye. Porn not so much coz that is quite an exposive business and anyone wanting to hide anything wouldn't even consider making porn. |
