Sony have chose to not show this movie now after threats to cinemas that would have shown it, would you have gone to see it or would you have been weary of any consequences that may occur ..Have the Hackers won at the end of the day and what do you think should be done |

Unfortunate that hackers are a serious and real threat. Don't have already lost millions at the hands of hackers previously. It's probably a calculated risk, cosy of film against cosy of being hacked. These guys are not the people sending you a zip file of an invoice, they target and are very highly skilled

.
He's not happy with the hair style of his character?"
Apparently a barber from London was a stylist on the film
If this turns in to a single profile, you know NK silenced me |

The FBI are looking at North Korea being responsible for much of the hacking and threats of terrorism.
I guess Kim Jong Un doesn't have much of a sense of humour..... |

The hackers aren't individuals they are state sponsored!
No one outside North Korea gives a toss really!
I wonder how many would go and see it
It's just a propaganda, poke fun at film

I would of gone if I was a cinema go-er.
Whats the worst that could happen?
You pay your money and half way through Kim's face pops up with some message and the film wont play?
We're talking NK Hackers, they gonna piss in my popcorn or something? |

It shows what can be achieved by highly motivated highly skilled hackers.
Today a film, but what tomorrow?
In the future it's probably how wars will be fought, or at least started. |

All the hackers have done is release financial documents regarding this film, its makers and stars. Big fucking deal. They could not buy this sort of publicity. I hope Homeland security force every cinema to show it. Then dub it into korean, and set a million dvds adrift along their coastline, and hopefully some get watched by their population.
All these hackers have ever shown they do is steal info, they can't do any teal physical harm. Get a grip Sony. |

They should just leak it to the downloaders then everyone can see it and have a laugh at the fat Korean asshole who is behind it all. |

Wouldn't have gone to see it. Not because of spurious threats....but because the clips I've seen are pretty poor. Kind of "carry on assassinating" stuff. Full of some very poor puns and not much else. |

If you read into this more NK have taken responsibility for this (basically in the film Kim is killed which he didnt want being seen as he thinks he is untouchable) they have then threatened 9/11 style terror attacks on any theatre showing the film!
So what do cinemas do, show it and risk everyone being massacred or pull the film!
Im sure it will get "leaked" on piratebay or something but not just yet |

Crackers are the ones who commit internet crime. Hackers just find bugs and fix them. Wanted to point that out.
Don't really like 'hacker' films, they're poften based on conspiracy and factually inaccurate. GUI interface IP tracking, anyone?
Might watch the film if it doesn't involve windows 8. |

I like conspiracy films, yes 99% of the points are factually incorrect but the 1% that are right are very curious |

I do think that conspiracies often arise because there is reason for them to. Just the films go for the obvious ones and tend not to go too deeply into them either. |

It's always good to question!.
I can think of several fantastic conspiracy films. JFK, three days of the condor, all the presidents men, the parallax _iew, swordfish, missing, Capricorn one, network, Arlington road, marathon man, z, seven days in may, syrania.... There all brilliant films maybe not factually perfect but you get the point of the story |
